What happened to Isamot is horrible. They better not get rid of him.

This feels like Emerald Warriors + John.

Fortunately, I liked Emerald Warriors. I liked it a lot.

Pretty good, but there's some problems with the Keepers being "immune" to the GLs' constructs. You can't be "immune" to light, and that's all the constructs are. Willpower activates the ring; it's not the energy flowing out of it.

Yup, it IS willpower. Seriously. The green energy is now SUPPOSED to be the collected willpower of the universe's sentient minds, or somesuch. It may seem silly, but (unless something has changed, which is entirely possible) that's what it is supposed to be.

In any case, it CAN'T just be light, because light is not solid. If light CAN be solid, then there is no basis for saying that one CAN'T be immune to light, since it already isn't behaving like light is supposed to...

It's been stated multiple times that willpower is what powers the CPB, and in turn the lanterns and rings. It's not the actual energy pouring out of the rings, which has been explicitly stated to be hard-light constructs (like a hologram), or directed energy blasts. Of course, I also know that this is modern Green Lantern, so the definition changes every few months.

Regardless, one also can't be "immune" to willpower, or any other emotion. That would negate the rings' abilities upon just about anyone. For example, GLs can overcome fear...which would make them "immune" to Sinestro Corps' constructs, and we know that's not the case.

Um, actually to an extent that IS the case. They no longer have the yellow weakness for that very reason. True, that's not the same as being able to shrug them off without using the ring, but it does show that, in the new mythology, one's emotions do effect how the energies effect you.

"Hard light constructs" is nothing like a hologram, which has NO physical substance, and is in fact a meaningless term outside a comic book (or perhaps a TV show). And if it was just light, there is no reason why it would HAVE to be green, since producing different colors of light is trivially simple. Green, however, is supposedly the color of will (which also makes no sense, but provides something to point to to "explain" the color).

"Directed energy blasts" doesn't rule out it being will, since it doesn't specify what kind of energy.
