I've been saying that since Didio announced that the original Crisis [and others prior to Blackest Night] never happened. Guy and John's origins rely heavily on Crisis because that is when they became Full fledged members of the GLC. A rogue set of Guardians awoke Guy from his Coma to recruit him to lead a team to destroy the Anti-Matter universe [which would have serious consequences for the regular universe which is why John and the GLC had to stop him] and John became a full-time member when he inherited Tomar-Re's ring [Hal was in one of his world famous "I don't want to be a GL anymore" moods so John as his backup got Hal's ring] when his ring went back to Hal. I can understand Guy's mission being retconned out but they still need Crisis to be enrolled in the GLC.

Not to mention that everything has been condensed down to like... 5 years right?

SO...... If Hal Jordan was the Green Lantern of 2814 when the Justice League "defeated" Darkseid....

when the hell did Guy and John get their rings?

Let's face it. Whoever runs DC seems to have really been embarrassed of the work done at DC from 1985 up to about 2003. So they don't give much of a crap about anything that came from that period. Why? I really don't know. Honestly, the new 52 is a little better than what they were doing 7 years prior but when you still have the same people involved you end up with the same issues I guess. I don't really bother much with continuity because I figure that if DC doesn't care, why should anyone else? As far as I'm concerned, John Stewart is a secret Guardian doing his best to keep the Mosaic from falling apart and Guy Gardner is a half-Vuldarain with 1337 martial skills and a yellow ring. That would be better than what they have been reduced to in GLC.
