GLC: Where's Natu?

Now I'm not the biggest fan of this character [never liked her relationship with Kyle], but it's kinda messed up she went from being a headliner to not even showing up post relaunch. Her relationship with her father could be an easy draw for many to pick up GLC if Hal ever gets his own title back. Hell, she could even cameo in GL and bring some much needed attention to Sinestro's past life while he's taking up panel time there....

Anybody else wanna see some kind of follow up to this?

Tony Bedard: "Soranik Natu was his girlfriend for the last year or two and that kind of ended badly as we wound down the last year of Green Lantern Corps. Basically when Kyle pulls together this team, he’s going off the reservation. This is not something the Guardians want him to do, but its something he has to do. So they eventually send Soranik after him to stop him."

"Well I like her a lot and shes a different kind of girlfriend for him. I don’t want to give away too much because that’s going to be a storyline coming up, probably around issue 7 or 8 of New Guardians. With the Guardians not so happy with Kyle, they have to figure out what to do with him. They say they should send the Alpha Lanterns like before. If we’ve got someone messing around in the Corps, we send the Alpha Lanterns, that’s what they’re for. Then someone else says, “Screw that, send the whole Corps after him!” And someone else says “Let’s do this surgically, and hit him where it hurts.”

"So they send Soranik…but of course she’s totally conflicted on what she’s up do, even if she was still pissed off at him. What I want to do is…they are not going to just send her alone, they’re going to give her a partner to do it with; a new Green Lantern character that is this real badass soldier-tracker-fighter kind of guy. Basically, the anti-Kyle, where Kyle is open and warm this guy is the strong silent type. But of course while Soranik is out there alone with this tracker, blah blah blah, she finds that she’s attracted to this anti-Kyle."

Awesome, but the NG book can't just turn into GLC 2.0 with a bunch more GL characters. And even though this will touch on her post-relaunch relationship with Kyle, it doesn't do anything for the relationship between her and her father. Just a passing line in NG about her dad isn't gonna do it for me... there's story potential going to complete waste.

Something has to happen for her and this new boyfriend in either GL or GLC!

I honestly believe a story about the father/daughter relationship between Natu and Sinestro would be to deep and continuity rich for the DCnU. Having her as Kyle's girlfriend is simple and can be kept flighty. Kyle wants to get laid, go see Natu, Kyle is going to far from the Guardian's orders send in Natu, Kyle is happy and chugging along, KILL Natu.....no wait that is the old DCU. Kyle is happy and chugging along have Natu turn evil for little reason.

I think in at least one of these cross-species romances they should find that they're not capable of mating. "What, you mean your species doesn't use spores and methane fertilization? What the hell do they do for fun on earth?"
