  • John Stewart, green lantern great murderer ?

I don't know if the war of green lantern is steal valid in the new 52
On one hand we have repercussion of this event with Hal without power and Sinestro at Green Lantern.
In the other the corps don't have is grudge against John anymore.
And when he want tell that he kill is fellow lantern (The one who will tell where Oa is) Vandor have is back. And i don't think he doing the same if John have Killerd Mogo.
So for me John isn't anymore the Mogo's Killer.

My guess is that John is still the one who killed Mogo because War of the Green Lanterns is the last major event in the Green Lantern timeline before the New 52. As you had stated, some of the things that had transpired from that event were Sinestro wielding the Green Power ring while Hal is left ring less. But I guess it really depends on the writers on what events and details are they gonna carry through New 52 from the past. But unless they had some new things to alter what had happened before, I'm still saying that it is John.

John is definitely not label as a murderer in gl mythos! His a faithful lover, a true marine marksman who has to make the best yet toughest decisions in every missions. Including destroying the infected Mogo for expanding Kronas army! By silencing the weaken willed for betraying the corps of a fellow corpsman! He did something a green lantern won't have the guts to do and he did! He weeps and mourns for thier deaths... and even forgives himself for his arrogance for saving Xanshi! A true soldier!

My meaning wasn't judge John's act.
It was to see if the corps as the same grunge against him, than after War of Green Lantern.
And If the Mogo-termination was steel in order or not.
I think the next month of GLC title will answer that part.

John still killed Mogo. People don't have a grudge anymore because of poor follow through on plotlines. I'm sure it'll be brought up in the next arc.

It's tough to justify John's actions this time seeing as he used his ring to get himself out of there right after killing Kirrt (sp?). The GL ring can do ANYTHING. Couldn't have put a gag construct on him or knocked him out or something? It's hard to say what's impossible when you're wearing something limited by your own imagination.

But I'm sure the story arc will make it clear John somehow had no other choice... which is a pity. This is the kind of thing that ought to be somewhat ambiguous.

I think John royally screwed up. Like Gauntlet 101010 pointed out, he had power left in his ring, enough to free them, but chose instead to kill Kkirrt (sp?). Had he still be locked up after I might be more in line with what he did, but the point is he had other options and chose to kill his fellow GL instead of pursue them.
