My money is on the Alpha Lanterns. I'm a fan of Green Man. John Stewart will stand trial and be convicted...just in time to be re-instated for battle with the Third Army.

Didn't they do a simular storyline in JLU once?Originally posted by IonFan(even if the ear sucking helped get me off faster)Originally posted by Big Daddy CaesarIf I had things like the internet and a laptop as a kid, I never would have left my room as a teenager.Originally posted by QuakerI am the Geoff Johns of the GLCMB.

Sort of. It was called In Blackest Night where he was put on trial for destroying a planet.I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

John has been put in some really tough decisions, but I can't help but entertain the idea that he could have handled the last one in a different way. If his hands were free he could of just knocked the guy out. I don't feel like he should have his ring revoked or anything, but I don't see him as being squeaky clean in this. Maybe a temporary hiatus of duties is more appropriate. But this seems to all work into the Guardians plan to dissolve the corps, something they pointed out after talking with Guy.
I thought it was funny that Guy came so close to the truth by feeding off and re-acting to his emotions. It tickled me to see the Guardians confer with each other after he left, and I liked the fact that he later brought up how different they acted in the trial as opposed to before. Maybe Guy is the one that's going to figure out the Guardians plans after all...
Not an overly exciting issue but it brought out a lot of great character points and views on the issue and revealed more about how determined the Guardians are to dissolve the corps. Not a lot of action but a necessary story beat. I dug it. Solid stuff.

So are the Alpha Lanterns being manipulated again, only by the Guardians this time?
I thought the end result of the last time we saw them was that they got access to their emotions again, and were, I thought, supposed to be acting more like their original selves as a consequence, yet here they are emotionlessly passing harsh judgement on John Stewart.

(2) Yeah, I think that got quietly retconned in the new 52. I also thought they were going to be rehabilitated.
