Now that Lantern Mogo is back, what might be in store for him? Also, I am just curious as to this: How in the HELL were the Third Army supposed to "assimilate" a PLANET???

Come to think of it, there should be several GLs that would be problematic in terms of assimilation. Leezle Pon, for instance. Or Stel. I assume that they just destroy that which they can't assimilate.

I just assumed they'd get so much 3rd Army inside of Mogo that it'd contaminate him.

It's kinda lame that Mogo can actually reform from being destroyed, but I'm glad to have him back.

Mogo is now both. John called Mogo "he" and Fatality said "she" just to remind him "he" alone isn't accurate.

I have always referred to Mogo as it and will continue to do so because Mogo is a planet and planets are its not hes or shes.

Uh, huh. And planets aren't sentient, either. Or empowered by the Green energy of willpower. After accepting THOSE facets of Mogo, I can't see why one would have any difficulty accepting a gender as well.

But I'll likely join you in the "it" use if this dual gender thing keeps up, since pretty much all the made-up pronouns ever used to try to relate that someone is multi-gendered sound hopelessly stupid, IMHO.

I've always called him "he" and will just continue to do so.Actually trying to assign genders to planets is silly. Yes, even sillier than making them sentient, self-reforming, and giving them power rings. They're hunks of rock. I just can't really see them gendered.

Yeah, they're mostly bad and there's no agreement about which (he/she, s/he, etc) to use in the community most affected by it. Anyway, "it" seems appropriate for a sentient planet since the gender in question doesn't seem to be a matter of physical genitalia but rather about dual magnetic and psychological pulls. I could see using "it" for Stel too, come to think of it.
