If the Batman universe has room for Nightwing and Tim Drake to have had ongoing titles for pretty much decades, there's no reason why Green Lantern can't have John Guy and Kyle support their own titles in addition to Hal. I'll buy them all. All DC has to do is make them good.

I don't think that John's death was ever an issue. Keep in mind that the new editors of GL came over from Superman. Up until Eddie Berganza took over last month, those books have been a mess editorially since the beginning.
