  • Will the writers care about Soranik and the fact Korugar is no more?

I was wondering if this will happen.

I'd find it amusing if new writers ignore it and show Natu visiting her homeworld as if nothing ever happened.

You'd think of all the power the First Lantern had, of all the power shown in GL#20, the power to bring back Korugar would be it. That's all the writers had to do to calm Sinestro.

Well, Sinestro went away so that no writer other than Johns could write him again. So I doubt Korugar will even get a mention.

It´s weird, tho, prior to the reboot, her korugar heritage and the dislike of the GLC was a strong part of her character.

That REALLY takes some balls. Have the MAIN villain of a series exit stage left with an obvious hands off statement about him in the books. Geoff Johns didn't create Sinestro...he's been around for 50 years! The balls it takes, to basically mandate in the offices that because so and so was your favorite character to work on so you don't want anyone else touching him for a while...it's ridiculous!

I could die a happy man to see John Byrne come in next issue with a big middle finger in the air. He'd bring back Sinestro and the Guardians, and make it work. Just to have him see someone piss all over his work and show him the same respect he shows everybody else.

And yet not at all surprising. I'm looking forward to the new creative teams, but they're going to be horribly constrained. Hell, Ron Marz created Kyle Rayner, and wrote him best...but he understood from the get-go that other writers could do whatever the hell they wanted with him, and he was quite comfortable with that.

But Sinestro is in the trailer for "Forever Evil".

So he will come back soon i think.

Well, Geoff Johns is writing that, so he's the one who can safely retcon Geoff Johns.

Forever Evil looks like the Legion of Doom 2k13. With Johns' revamping of Sinestro, I don't see him working with a bunch of common criminals. Sinestro is all about order and most of those guys are misfits that cause chaos.
