Why doesn't John wear white gloves like the rest of the GL's?

i get tired of the traditonal gl suit. i like to see diversity with the suits. i mean just like the nova corps or whtevr they called. most the same but few diff.

John is showing his respect to the Marine Corps. White gloves are for dress occasions. As a soldier in the trenches, he could not do his job with white gloves. Semper Fi.

To make the green ring stand out better.

I can't confirm this but I read many years ago that this is the exact reason why Hal wore white gloves.

I understand why it's in-character for him not to wear them, but I still wish the comics would adopt his JL/JLU black gloves on a permanent basis; it's a cool design.

I never like his costume in Mosaic. John doesn't seem to fit Hal Jordan type of costume. So I see the current costume is the best so far. You don't want to see him in his Darkstar costume, do you?

I didn't have a huge problem with his Darkstar uniform.
