John Stewart:GL of Krypton

(Correct me if I'm wrong)Post CoIE John got Tomar Re's Ring after he died, Tomar Re was the GL for Krypton's sector, so wouldn't that make John Stewart the GL of Krypton's sector?

It would've, but the Guardians squashed the sectore assignments two issues later.

Officially, sectore 2814 was assigned to:

Abin Sur
Hal Jordan (Showcase #22)
John Stewart (vol 2 #183ish)
Guy Gardner (end of Road Back)
Hal Jordan (vol 3 #25)

Then Kyle Rayner was referred to here and there as the GL of sector 2814. He was the only one for so long and there was only one Guardian, so I'm not sure if he was ever an official GL of the sector.

Besides, Tomar was an honor Guard by the time he died. his sector was already assigned to someone else years before the Crisis ended.

I don't think there was ever a Lantern for Tomar's old sector in Gerard Jones' series, so it may have not had a GL from COIE until the new series, where presumably it now has two.

Whoah, you're kidding, right? How could you forget Tomar Tu? I'm not sure it was stated explicitly, but I think it is safe to assume that he was GL for the sector of his homeworld.

By default, wouldn't he have been GL of all sectors during that time? Let's see another GL claim that!

Of course, he probably did a shitty job of it... I don't remember much of Kyle watching over other sectors, or even the other systems within 2814, except for his time as the original Ion where he forced peace treaties and stuff.

That's one hell of a sector to defend! To Kyle's credit, torwards the end of the series, he WAS trying to defend as much as he could. gotta give him props for that, lol.

Well, to Kyle's credit it's not like he was "told" what to do. Ganthet wasn't like "Oh hey takes this ring and guard the WHOLE DCU!" Didn't it take Kyle a few years to find out the ring could translate for him? That would have made things REALLY hard.
