John Stewart: Black Lantern?

I was listening to a podcast last week, and someone mentioned that at some point in the seventies, John was called Black Lantern. Does anyone know more about this?

I only know that he was called the Black Lantern a few times because of his skin colour. But that has nothing to do with the prophecy of the Blackest Night.

I remember a Green Lantern issue where John Stewart himself said:

"I was always the 'Other Lantern' the 'Black Lantern' the 'Difficult Lantern' .

But that definitely wasn't in the seventies. It was during the 3rd Green Lantern run.

Hal said something to him about how John has had to deal with a lot of crap over the years being known as "the other Lantern" or the "Black Lantern". It was in whatever issue had Ollie's Bachelor Party.

In the 70s Green Arrow/Green Lantern comics he also freely suggested that maybe he could call himself "Black Lantern."
