It sucks that Kyle's original two arch enemies have been killed. Nero as shot in the head by an Alpha Lantern and Effigy was melted or something and put in an old lantern behind the HOLLYWOOD sign IIRC by the Spectre.
From the short list of Kyle era villains, who would you want him to have as an arch for the foreseeable future?
Parallax - Kyle's first arch was originally Parallax inside of Hal. The entity could always come after Kyle inside of another host. What if the grasshopper jumped inside of John for a bit?!?
Fatality - If this chick lost the SS ring and took up her guns and ammo she could be an arch for BOTH Kyle and John. She's a cool Sapphire but she was so much more badass when she was packing that staff and gear to take down Lanterns.
Oblivion - This was Kyle's nightmares given life across the universe when Kyle began tapping into the Ion power for the first time. He pretty much had the one big event leading to the first Ion arc where he showed up in a couple of panels. IIRC at some point in the Circle of Fire series, Oblivion shifted from his usual horned self to a darker Kyle Rayner. I always thought that was cool.
Purgatory - This was a guy introduced around the Underworld Unleashed event. Kyle gave a man without legs a little power to create construct legs. When he lost them climbing the stairs of the Statue of Liberty he was approached by Neron who gave him incredible power including legs, in return for the death of Kyle Rayner/GL. After Kyle had cured him of his curse momentarily, Neron took him from this plane of existence to his hellish dimension. Hasn't been seen since as far as I know.
What do you guys think? I wanna see more villains outside of stuff relating to the rest of the skittles Corps'.
