From the Comic Con coverage we find out that the different rings all come to Kyle and that the different Corps want Kyle to be their Torchbearer. That and a little bit of info was dropped in that the entities WILL shw up in New Guardians.

Hal can have all the rings. Kyle can have the entities. I really just hope this ends with the one true Ion returning to the GLC proper.

Oh, and I guess that Sapphire in NG's isn't Carol, and with it being teased as a surprise I'm thinking it could be Donna Troy, as ridiculous as that sounds....

I'm going to file the Kyle being the torchbearer for all the different Corps bit under the "What does that even mean?" category just like the existence of all the different Corps gets filed under the "Why?" category.

I thought that wouldn't be possible since he's tainted by Parallax? But sure why not, I do enjoy a good retcon.

Doubtful...Didio has stated multiple times that much like Wally West there are no plans for Donna at the moment.

But in serious what does Kyle being the torchbearer for all the corps even suppose to fucking mean? Why the hell would Arkillo for example view him in that manner? This sounds like one of those throwaway lines that don't make any fucking sense.

Sinestro is no longer in the Sinestro Corps. The Blue Lanterns are without a Guardian. The Sapphires may or may not have a Queen [if Carol is back on Earth who knows?]. Larfleeze is just greedy. And the Reds and Indigos have never had a Guardian as far as I know....

So some of the Corps may fear of dying out. If all I had to do was find somebody to put a space creature inside of to ensure my Corps would continue to live on then I'd damn well do it.

I want to know what it means for a Corps to "Have a guardian" too while we're at it.

I swear to God the new GL Universe is like listening to a bunch of homeopathy supporters.

Tons and tons of phrases get tossed around as if they're supposed to mean something but nothing ever makes any actual sense.

I would assume a higher power that in turn helps fuel the Corps. The Anti-Monitor was originally over the Sinestros, Queen Aga'Po led the Zamarons and Sapphires, Ganthet and Sayd were over the Blues, and now Sayd has become the Guardian of Avarice....

Depending on how the different Corps' look at the situation, they may believe that Kyle can create Guardians for them as an entity's host since Kyle brought back the Guardians as Ion. He held the power to fuel a Corps. I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of the different Corps try to capture him and force these kinds of miracles out of him.

I can't wait to see the artist pencil some of the different Corps' cast.

I thought the Corps were fueled by the emotions of the Universe. Once you devise a mechanism to store "emotional energy" (ugh) why would you need a "higher power"?

Was she ever qualified as a "Guardian"? Do we know what abilities she has outside of being a Star Sapphire?

Which is where this nonsense started because they were "Guardians of the Universe". That used to be a Title. Like, hey... I'm in a book club... we're called The Guardians Of the Universe. We read what Oprah tells us and also oversee a galactic peace keeping force.

But the Orange Lantern was around for kabillions of years without a "Guardian". You're just saying she's the "Guardian of Avarice" because she USED to be a Guardian of the Universe and now she's agreed to hang out with Larfleeze for some reasons. There's nothing about her behavior or responsibilities that designate her "Guardian". Only her past affiliations.

How would they know that? Why would they care? If I'm a Red Lantern and I can barely think for myself and I've been jetting around the cosmos puking up my own blood for a few months trying to get revenge on the man that shot my paw...

Why do I care if I have a "Guardian"? If anything... I wouldn't want one since my lord and savior Attrocitus has been trying to kill the Guardians for their treachery and deceit.

Sinestro called the Anti Monitor his Guardian, I didn't write it, but it makes enough sense to me. Agent Orange wanted a Guardian.... he got one. The Controllers were an off-shoot of the Guardians, pretty sure it was stated somewhere before the Zamarons turned skinny and blue that they also "split away from the Guardians."

You sir, take quoting to a whole new extreme.

The Sinestro Corps for example have been the antithesis of the GLC but even if you put aside the insane amount of philosophical differences they have, the ridiculous amount of animosity between them should stop any Sinestro Corps member from looking to Kyle for inspiration.

i think with what we have seen so far regarding all 4 the earth gl's doning more than just the green ring makes me question that the writters are exploring and channeling the idea that maybe someone like kyle can use any ring he sees fit.

I don't see it as looking at him for inspiration, but as a means to survive beyond their current situation. The different Lantern's rings are usually powered by Guardians and/or a Central Power Battery. While some may have a Guardian, others have a CPB. Larfleeze only had a personal sized battery that he held Ophidian in.

If their CPB's are starting to lose light, maybe somebody has heard of Kyle relighting the GLC's CPB as an entity host. Or maybe they were misinformed and believe Kyle can create Guardians [the Oan/Maltusian kind].
