I'm honestly not too into this series. The art looks rushed to me and I'd probably rate it the lowest of all the GL-centric titles. The only reason I will pick it up is to read the current status of Larfleeze. He's a nut, but lots of fun to read. As for this issue specifically I didn't think there was a lot of story points, except the forging of a new yellow ring....but beyond that not much going on.

However I respect your decision on buying the book in the first place larfleeze is a great character to read and it makes sense to follow him in this book since I doubt he will be in any other one.

I don't like Sinestro being a GL and I could care less why he is. I have honestly wanted to see him dead since the Sinestro Corps War. But it hasn't happened. So the GL title is worthless to me. The only other one I would bother getting would be the one with Guy in it.

I like the concept as well. I can see where the story was going, and that certainly it was part of a bigger tapestry, but it just doesn't hook me much. I just think GL Corps and GL outpace it, but that just boils down to my preference in art I think. I will follow it for a bit, fer that gonzo alien because I enjoy his canter. And I wouldn't give up on seeing Sinestro bite the big one. I think things are soon to change.

Liked the issue overall, but it's a little sad that Arkillo is taken out for some time. Liked his aggressive style a lot - sometimes he was more in rage then Bleez was
But I'm curious if Arkillo and Sinestro will crash into each other someday because he seems to feel betrayed (what's no suprise).
Overall I agree with BBDave with the Cover. The GLC Covers are very busy too, but maybe it's just a question of personal taste.
Maybe I missed it, but the main reason I gave this issue only three of five is because I had hoped that the whole Action with Invictus will be pushed further. I guess I should re-read some parts of the previous book(s) before reading the actual one, but at first I haven't understood why they are out of the dimenson and what's going on with the Weaponor. I'd never thought that Invictus just let them get away by promissing to get rid of Larfleeze. Thought this was somehow a strange cut or break in the flow of the story.
But maybe I just haven't remembered the end of #7 and should've re-read it.

I like the issue and was hoping for more interactions to come before they part ways. I haven't seen Blue Beetles so I have no idea what the Reach is, and how did they bring the fight to Kyle? Anyone got a debrief?:Gray Lantern the True Neutral:

Sure. The Reach is the alien race that creates the scarabs, and one of them is bonded to Jaime Reyes, aka the Blue Beetle. After BB fought the villain Stopwatch in NYC, he was tracking an "alien threat"...and it turned out to by Kyle's power battery, right as Kyle, Bleez, and Glomulus showed up. (BB #8). Previous issues of BB showed that the Reach have been mortal enemies of the GLC for a long time, and they managed to find the Blue Lanterns' homeworld, so they figure they can at least take down that Corps instead.

And I like this book because I'm not a huge fan of the other GL's but they do have good books in their own right so I'm not knocking them by any means. They just aren't my prefrence. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Larfleeze, And I especially like the character Glomulus even if he is only a construct of Larfleezes corps. If Sinestro does bite the big one. I will jump for joy. However I just don't see it happening. He's pretty much the Joker of the GL universe. No matter what happens they'll never kill him.

Even the art is getting better. I still don't like the way Kyle's hair is drawn in pointy chunks, but the rest of it was well done. I've come to the realization that maybe Kirkham is much better than I previously gave him credit for,and that he's been matched with the wrong inker all along.
The cover was a bit too busy and cluttered; maybe a regular cover artist would benefit the title.
I liked that they at least put the Sinestro Corps away for later. It'll obviously be back when Johns tires of having Sinestro as a GL in the main title; so it makes sense to put it aside in a manner that it could be retrieved again in a single issue. Making Arkillo the one to keep it going in the meantime works just as well as anything else. He's got the cool action figures for Mattel and DCD anyway, lol.
And the Bleez ass shot was funny. It can start to be the new "Where's Waldo?" injoke. Every issue a single panel MUST zoom in on her ass for NO reason whatsover.
