I'm surprised to see somebody referring to Red as "weaponized Hate". Even though I think that makes more sense, given the way the emotional spectrum is set up, and I KNOW that's what it originally was, I was pretty sure we were all supposed to believe by now that it has always been Rage, not Hate.

This issue was pretty good, some humor, action and decent plot development in both BB and GL.

Spoiler: Alex is still in the fridge.

Loved this issue. Review's going up Monday, if anyone gives a shit.

Funniest moment was Jaime popping a boner on Bleez.

I didn't like it at all. Not the story or art. Why did this issue start in the middle of the action like this? They promoted it as a two parter but obviously the previous issue set this one up.

Either way, this book doesn't make me ever want to buy another one. Kind of like the LAST GL crossover with Blue Beetle.

            I know I'm nitpicking, but:
1)Dear god, Kyle's battery design has been around for how long?
2)Kyle doesn't need to speed-oath. He just pulls a charge.

But anyways, I kinda liked it. Be interesting to see where this goes for the BL.

Is it just me or are these cross-overs getting everyone down? At the momment, I read GL:NG, red lanterns, and swamp-thing, but new guardians crossess over with blue betle, so I need to buy that issue, blue beetle readers need to the following issue of new guardians because blue beetle or something apears in it, in red lanterns, they cross over with stromwatch so I need to buy 1 issue of stormwatch and people who read stormwatch need an issue of red lanterns, and swamp-thing crossess over with animal man. It's just a way of DC getting more money off us. Granted that the storylines are good, but still, it costs!

These kinds of crossovers have been around for over thirty years. One or two extra issues here and there don't bother me; it's events requiring the purchase of 20+ books that bug me.

Why did Kyle have an apartment in Blue Beetle? He hasn't lived on Earth in a dog's age. Much less had a job to pay for one.

And the lantern was horribly drawn. The whole issue was.

I think it was implied he moved back to NYC/Earth in issue #1 after the Guardians kicked Hal out of the GLC. Sector 2814 needed a GL, they choose Kyle to do it in the WotGL: Aftermath special. Guy got Honor Guarded with John to run the GLC and Kyle got Sector 2814 again. In fact, Guy told Kyle to go check up on Hal when he got back to Earth. Something Johns probably forgot about. I think Kyle's had a new place since ION happened and he'd been based off Earth after the Infinite Crisis. He then returned to space post Parallax. And now he's back post-WotGL. My guess is he'll be staying on Earth for the foreseeable future since he's been kicked out of the GLC, but like Sinestro, his ring will not come off his finger despite the Guardians' wishes.

My other issue: it's been like what? Two hours since he's been on Oa being chased by rings, then having to go AWOL, get sent by Sayd to the Orrey, and the Guardians already sent alien bounty hunters to kill him? They work fast...

Oh, and Kyle was also acting as Earth GL when he tried to stop Voodoo in her series. Which I'm assuming happens right before GLNG #1.

The issue is badly drawn. I may have only seen the preview up there, but that was horbily drawn.

They left Kyle's skylight open. It's going to rain in there!

LOL This always irritates me when I see things like this.

It always bugs me in movies and TV when a characters enters a home and a conversation ensues before anyone closes the door. They move on into a different room, but NOBODY THINKS TO CLOSE THE DOOR! Why!!! Were they raised in a barn or something?!?

Another one is how people get off the phone in movies and TV. They finish a sentence and hang up. Who the hell hangs up without ending a conversation by saying some form of goodbye?! The person on the other end must be wondering if they got disconnected. Is there more pertinent info I missed because they have a gun to their head? Did they drive into a tunnel and lose the signal? Goddamn people, end a conversation properly!
