Green Lantern: New Guardians #11 *Preview/Spoilers*

Did anybody think that the only Lanterns with any first hand knowledge of the Orange Lanterns were Hal and John and the surviving GLC members from the initial Agent Orange arc? It's no wonder Kyle was so naive to think Glomulus was still his own person/creature/alien. If Glomulus acted like an individual Kyle and the others probably thought he was for that reason alone. I mean, I know GL's are supposed to be like cops and fill out a report every once in awhile, or report to Salaak, or something. But we never actually see any of that in-panel so you can't use the argument "Kyle could've done his homework." And with the Guardians being so anal now who's to say that they haven't tinkered with the Book of Oa or just completely closed the door on it to further distance themselves from the GLC and put them in a tighter spot?

To me though... if it looks like a construct, feels like a construct, I don't need any other reason to think it's nothing more than a construct.

They used to do that in the Silver Age. Hal would say he learned about some planet from a fellow lantern or he'd know about an old villain from the book.

I'm liking the stories a lot. Someone said they hated the way lanterns were bouncing back and forth between fights and it was chaos. I think for this title to work, the writer has to add a little chaos. These folks are not yet a team, but are building on it. They will have moments of chaos and conflict amongst themselves, but thats what makes it so interesting to read. LOVE IT!

Pretty sure that wasnt her mission because Larfleeze set her on the mission before he lost his battery to the book of the black, which he recovered a few issues later.

With visions of him being with his family, I think that what her mission was to find them.

Yep. I'd think so. But apparently if a construct became aware and selflessly tried to defend them, dying in the attempt, BDB, LanternSector, and Tommy Boy would just laugh it off and say "Ha. You're not a real living being!"

So I gotta wonder, was it Sayd that had a Green ring attach itself to Sinestro? So far it's only Kyle and Sinestro's rings that wouldn't obey the Guardians. Guess we'll find out next issue?

That kinda detail probably wouldn't be addressed in a book not written by Geoff. Though I think you're on the right track. With Johns saying he's bringing back Appa, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be the reason for Sinestro's green ring.

Note to self, do not read any previous stories with Appa; I will only be disappointed in the mediocre complete revamp of the new one.

I do continue liking this book though. I do admit Walker's accusation of Larfleeze is flimsy and wish it wasn't written so forward, but it has to fit the other books with random ringslingers going after a different group of ringslingers without a good enough explanation. I also don't mind the Glommy parts. At first, and even still, Kyle has no idea what an orange construct is. And the line might be cheesy, but it fits the more campy/action/adventure style.

Also, I did love seeing Invictus showing the might of his moving solar system and obliterating a planet with ease.

I can't undestand why some people dislike this number so much. I've read it this night an I liked it a lot. IMO it had some good conversations, good artwork and nice action. The saddest part was the death of Glomy ;__;. Somewhat I like NG slightly more then GLC because it's more varied and even though the characters aren't that deep, it's not that bad compared to GLC where John and Guy aren't that well or deep "written" as some may think.
