I thinkm whats messing him up with GLNG is not really on him, I think its the way DC is pushing him towards with the new 52. If you look at his previous work with GL titles, it just doesn't feel the same -
The funny thing is, this is the book that (IMO has the most potential, but also needs the most work. Only Red Lanterns is worse in terms of quality. They have Kyle front and center; Guy, Hal and John fans don't have that luxury as they fight for space. Sure, there is a cast for Kyle, but only one of them is a human and they are all there to support Kyle's story. With some work, NG could be a lot better. The spectrum stuff is pretty gay and trite but it could be done so it felt less cheesy. Kyle has a following that really wants the book to succeed. I'm not really a fan, but I AM a fan of GL so I want it to succeed. Right now though this book is bottom of the barrell.

Just give Kyle his own solo title already. And some new action figures. And an origin that doesn't change every time it's mentioned...
...and a new GL suit once the status quo goes back to semi-normal.

I think making him the permanent WL would make since, he was the last GL, the first ION, why not just make him a WL! Make sinestro a yellow lantern again, have john retire, guy be on the honor guard on OA and make Hal GL of earth(earth, not fly to another war every 5 minutes) Oh and BAZ, make him either die, quit, or go to another corps.Comment
