Okay....

So if TPTB [ominous music clip in the background] decided to give Kyle a solo series with the stipulation he had to be "more than the average Lantern" which direction would you wanna go? Another round with Ion? Starheart powers perhaps? A Blue ring and another Corps?

This isn't a thread including the "none of the above" option. If it had to be one of these which would you go for the most? Assume it has A-list talent [my team personally would be Ron Marz and Luke Ross] on the credits and that this is something TPTB [ominous music clip in the background] are behind 100%. Kyle could really go any way here, but which do you think would be best if just wielding a green ring wasn't enough?

I'd rather he wasn't "special". It diminished the book when it's allabout his power.

That said, the Stearheart. His stint as Ion the first time really said all there is to say about Kyle and that kind of power. I got a few issues of his second stint, but they didn't impress me too much. Making him blue is rather pointless, so I choose Stearheart. I miss Alan's mentorship on Kyle and the Stearheart power, and it's differences with the regular GL power, have rarely been explored. Also, nobody has truly followed in Alan's footsteps as Green Lantern.

Well out of the choices I think the Starheart choice would be my favored one. Because I dont see the torchbearer of the GLC going blue or do I want Kyle to be bounced back to Ion again.

Keep him as he is for now. He's had so many damned changes lately - more than most characters - that he needs some time to settle in. Don't give him a new ring, don't give him back Ion, and don't give him the Starheart. Just let him be.

I think Kyle is fine the way he is in GLC, but I think a blue ring would be the best choice. I'm not 100% sold on yat but I think he has the potential to be the most powerful lantern and should keep being Ion!

Blue Lantern...have the war of Light and the Blackest night...have LOTS of Blue Lanterns then have every single one of them Die or have their wills crushed and Kyle who serves as a GL in the war be asked to carry on the "Torch" and be Ganthnets last hope again as a Blue Lantern...
Ganthnets last hope that Kyle will serve as a non-killing moral Gaurdian of the univiers to show the GLs how far from there original mandate they have turned because of Sinestro.
...If you also wannt to add Wally West (someone named him "Mercury" on here and I have fell in love with that idea and maybe a Dead Lantern Jade (whos now good...cmon a nagging dead ex...think of the drama/comedy out of that) as regulars and im sold...oh and make him based on earth with Radu as a Landlord again....best times....

Just realized I never replied to my own question or voted in the poll LOL

Starheart powers would be the best way to remove him from the Corps proper, however he could still help them on occasion. With the different powers comes a different cast and Alan, Jade, and even Obsidian could be in his supporting cast along with a few others. Alan is in the JSA with Rick Tyler, who's an artist like Kyle in NYC. Think they've ever met outside of their superhero adventures [mainly JLA/JSA team-ups]?

Back when I first created the thread I had introduced a Starheart powered version of Kyle into the Masters RPG called.... Starheart.



Now I'm writing Alan as a semi-mentor to Kyle who's absorbed Starheart energies and become the Dark Lantern [see sig].
