Let me be clear. The snob-ish, mouth-breathing, arrogant because of their superiority in 'knowledge' of superheroes, "Comic Book Guy". I don't find anything wrong in enjoying comics. Where would we get the great movies we've been getting?

If they felt compelled to say something about it, then yes, it must be "sooooo important" to them, if it was that important, you'd think they could spend a few seconds and do a search before they make themselves sound stupid for the whole world to read.

ANd you are missing my point. My level of caring goes to knowledge. I have said in numerous posts in this thread what type of people I have issue with. For those that GL is only a black guy because they dont know any better I care enough to edcuate them. If and when I try they turn out to be one of those people that tell me I am wrong even with proof I stop wasting time and just walk away. See how that sounds similar to what you said you do or we should. Look back through this thread. I said the same exact thing twice and before you came in I might add. I CARE about those that are willing to be educated. Everyone else can go jump off the highest edge of Qward. This entire time I have said that I take the time with those who are willing to learn and say goodbye to those who are too ignorant or stubborn to learn. Clearer now?

If they were only exposed to it from a tv show how does it make them morons? They just dont know any better. Asking the general public to do research about a comic book movie is like asking Batman to take the Joker out for a Dinner to celebrate his many accomplishments. I will say to you guys what I said to the Batfans. Instead of bitching these people out use this as your teachable moment. Explain to them the history if the GL's and how there are more than one and yes there is a black one but he was not the first. If you take the time to do this instead barking at peopl and telling they are idiots you end with some new fans who will then want to go and do the research. Barking on people will just make them say well "gee the Green Lantern comic fans are dicks" and they will want nothing to do with it. Embrace new fans with knwledge of what you love as opposed to alienating them by wasting a teachable moment.

The ones that try to tell you what are in the comics and thnk they know better. Those are the jackasses that need to be ignored. No matter what you say it will never convince them that they dont know what they are talking. I know this from exeprience with the Batfans and even some people that I have met that believe that the Holocaust never happened. You can show them every Green Lantern comic in the galaxy and they will still tell you that you are wrong. Why waste the energy or doofuses like that.

Oh please forgive me! I didn't realize my post count wasn't high enough to make sensible comments on Green Lantern. Many sorries. I bow to your superior post count and shall cover my head in shame. I'm not worthy. I don't deserve to come to this board weekly and stay in touch with my favorite superhero and it's fandom.
