You can tell his disregard for the character in the interview loud and clear, though. "Green Lantern, like, makes things... with his ring... but some stupid fans got some kind of problem with ME playing the character... pffft! It's not even a good character, who cares who plays it?" Unless he's just putting on a show in that interview and really has a reverence for the character he comes off as angry with the fans/WB for this.

For those unaware, there very nearly was a Green Lantern film starring Jack Black as a new Green Lantern (not Hal or Kyle or anybody) who gets recruited by the Green Lantern Corps when they find him winning a "Fear Factor" competition of eating maggots or such. He joins up and hijinks ensue. Yes, WB actually paid money to commission such a screenplay.

The Duck Dodgers episode was funny, but kinda goofy and nearly insulting at the same time. Still great fun, and featured Kevin Smith as Hal, himself! Always a plus to have Hal in an episode, even more so to have a recognizable voice to him. :P

I really enjoyed the DD episode .... I found it fun and funny and am able to laugh at myself my fav line is

The only odd part of Duck Dodgers (and relize it was merely a "tounge-in-bill" episode, not to be taken seriously), but why on Earth would Hal have sent his uniform to a dry cleaners WITH the ring in a "pocket"????? Not to mention, why Hal was even in the 24 and half century.... and how he got to Sinestros fortress at the end to reclaim them! Or how NO ONE even asked where Hal was when Daffy shows up wearing his ring and uniform!

Still a great episode and fun to watch!
