  • Think Hal or the New Guardians need a separate book?

Anyone think Hal or the New Guardians need their own book? I mean sure there is Green Lantern but that is being overrun by his supporting cast and especially with the New Guardians going to be in the book Hal is going to get his same amount of screen time he is getting now which is hardly any. So I think Hal should take control of his book again and the New Guardians get a team book focusing on the other 5 of them while Hal and Carol are in Green Lantern and Hal and Carol can be in New Guardians just not get as much focus in it.

Geoff is turning Green Lantern into the JSoA and he didn't do a good job at that in the new run of it IMO.

Uh, Hal is in control of his book he's been front and center in both BN and GL since they started until now.

If he was would I be complaining that he is taking a backseat to his supporting characters in the book?

In the beginning yes Hal was now he is getting pushed aside by every other freaking character in BN and GL.

        Yo.

problem is, U thought BN was a Hal Jordan/Green Lantern event..........and its not.

anyways, this isnt the 1st time Hal *wasnt* the center of the spotlight in his own title, and it wont be the last. I think Ud be best served watchin' how the current x-over completes itself, and then see if Geoffcon returns to more Hal-oriented story-fare.

          No.

Hal aready is the star of Green Lantern. It don't gets any better than that. The "New Guardians" is just a story arc. GL will move onto something else after that.

Well, considering Green Lantern is going to be about Hal, Green Lantern Corps is going to be about Kyle, Ganthet and John, Emerald Warriors about Isomat, his partner, Kilowog and Guy, and Brightest Day dealing with the "new guardians" and their stay on earth, I'm gonna have to go with all basis are going to be covered.

Honestly, I think if Johns gave Hal some real love in his own book after the crossovers, people would be fine with it. Blackest Night was perceived as a Hal Jordan/Green Lantern event. Even though it is mainly contained in GL, GLC and BN to me it seemed more like a Barry Allen, Ray Palmer event. The book just needs to refocusing but I've been enjoying Blackest Night for the most part and have been enjoying the book since Rebirth.

I've enjoyed the book since Rebirth too I just think that Blackest Night and the other Corps have spread it thin that Hal loses focus in his own book, but hopefully in GL# 52 and Blackest Night #8 he'll get more of the focus he deserves in it.

                  GL- Hal
                  Emerald Warriors- Guy
                  GLC- John and Kyle

I think Kyle should have his own book again.

This. Take Ion back out of that Spawn of Alan Moore, and give it back to Kyle.
And Alex Nero was a good Sinestro substitute, I miss him.

I'd be all for these guys getting minis or something. Tie-ins, like what they did with Kyllax, Henshaw, Prime, and Ion and the like during SinCorpsWar.

I'm with Warrior Pluto on that. I actually just bought the Ion trade. I think it was the best compromise between the kyle and hal camps of GL.

Is Nero still alive? I know they've been killing a lot of characters related to Kyle the last few years

Nope Nero took the dirt nap during the executions in GLC when the Alpha Lanterns were killing the escaped prisoners from the escape riot.
