I def liked it.I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

As I said in another thread before I expected Larfleeze to be a character for laugh from the get goI LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

I didn't like it. I thought it was sloppy. Tan can draw a mean Larfleeze, but his humans left MUCH to be desired in Agent Orange... and Hal shouldn't look like he's on acid.

I think Johns always wanted him to be comedic relief. I never saw fleeze as otherwise. Anytime you asked him to talk about Larfleeze he described him as a dirty muppet. Sorry to say none of that screamed bad ass to me from the jump.I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

I remember those interviews. Johns seemed to really enjoy writing him as comic relief. But, to me, he still seemed pretty dangerous during the first arc when he completely destroyed the Controllers, took on a whole group of Lanterns and Guardians, and was portrayed as massively powerful.
Anyway, back on topic. Tan is a good artist, but I think his AO arc was a bit sloppy. Maybe it was a deadline thing. The inking didn't help either.
