I would like to see this as an elseworlds but I don't watch Fringe but I will watch it tonight for that.

It's not part of any story. It is for the finale of Fringe which many have stated on this page.

Okay, so that makes the fact that Hal's not actually a Red Lantern kinda better.
The comic geek in me would kinda want to see him dressed as a real RL, but as just a background joke, this is just fine.

Neat idea. As much as I love Fringe, I'm worried that they're going to drive this whole alternate universe thing into the ground. (The obvious fact that two parallel universes would never be that alike in the first place nonwithstanding. But I'm sure the writers know that, and ignore it for storytelling purposes.)

"We’re sure you were running a myriad number of possibilities through your head when we debuted the image yesterday, and it’s time to get to the bottom of where the image – and a few others – are from.
If you’re a fan of the show FRINGE on FOX, you know that part two of the show’s season finale airs tonight. And, as if you needed more reason to tune in (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, we’ve got a few.
See, in tonight’s episode both universes are put at great risk as Walter (John Noble) and Olivia (Anna Tory) visit the “other side.” But what are some of the cool Easter egg-style things one would see on the “other side”? Well, stuff like that RED LANTERN/RED ARROW cover, for starters.
So tune in tonight, look out for more covers like the one above and come back to The Source tomorrow morning for a look at all the covers shown in the episode."

It's for DC's 75th anniversary. They're posting others on the Source.
