Brightest Day September 2010 Solicitations

More characters in GL?
We already have a lot of new characters from "Blackest Night", "The War Of Light", "Brightest Day", etc.
Now we have a host for Adara, The Buthcher, The Predator...c'mon!

Fans have been clamoring for explanations of the entities for a couple of years now. We get an entire arc about it and readers like you still bitch.

That sounds pretty dumb, I can maybe just about buy Sinestro agreeing to that, only for the sake he would have some other nasty plan in the works, but Atrocitus? the man was hell bent on killing the Guardians, GL's and Sinestro.

Dunno if the Zamarons would agree with that either, this kind of story telling seems to be the case of what is convenient at the time.

You know like how Sodam Yat was convenient in SCW but after that he was useless, so they stuck him in the sun.

Yep. It's a pretty big change in the characters. Most of all, in Atrocitus. Now we sympathize with him, instead of seeing him as a savage murderer, who wants to kill every single guardian. BUT, before making any conclusion, I'm going to wait to see what's that plot thing, between Atrocitus, Ganthet, and Gardner.

At the moment it seems GJ is unable to tell a standalone story in one book, without you having to go buy 20 other books to get the whole story, and even then its a hyperbole for the next big thing.

Atro is currently busy lookin for the other entities

Sodam Yat got pulled out of the sun by a (possibly renegade) old time guardian who first pulled Ion out of him and captured him

As for GL, havent bought it since BN ended, good to see its carried on being crap, wonder what other new characters GJ will add when he starts his 2nd part of his trilogies of trilogies.

i dont see how new characters make a story crap, i mean...from the looks of things (someone mentioned it) u explore more of what was established already (in this case..blue and the entity), even if it is from a new character

Also maybe someone can explain, not you raker, how is it the corps arent killing each other right now? before I could understand with the threat of the BL's but with them gone, how is it they havent resumed killing each other? or maybe they are? I dunno like I said I havent read it since BN, but even then I knew this would be a problem when it ended.

there was a truce, idk if u saw brightest day...0? or #1 cant remember, and i think it was in the preview

sinestro was given an amnesty for helpin out, which is why larfleeze is carryin sayd around on earth and why atro + rage kitty are roamin NY and bein somethin of a vigilante duo (when it's convenient)

now, as far as the other yellows and reds, i have no fkn clue there's no focus on them, just like how they were pushed aside for the black lanterns (and the leaders of the groups, minus green) until the last couple of gl(c) issues

In a sense that will help us learn more about the new characters for the colored corps. If we see the Entities of those corp, Im willing to bet the focus of said issue will be about that corp

And about what you said about Cowgirl, and those guys...that's my point. Whatever happened to them? We have no idea, and in a couple of issues we'll have even more characters to develop. And, to be honest, since "Blackest Night", my trust in Johns has decreased. I hope he proves me wrong.

Nice to see the other corps getting explored some more. It really has felt like they have been underused badly so far. Happy it's the blue and the reds getting some love, or rage and hope...whatever
