  • Re-read the Blacknest night over the weekend

And I noticed a few inconsistency. In one of the chapter Hal didn't even look surprise that it was Nekron and said "Oh we the corps fought him a few time before." When did this happened?

Second. When the Rainbow Bridage was shooting their power rings at Nekron Carrol and Hal said "I think I saw this on a Saturday Morning Cartoon before." I am going to assume they meant Captain Planet, in which case, what was Hal doing watching a kiddy cartoon in this thirties? Isn't he a bit old for that?

Hal is about 35 right now in the comics. Captain Planet was going in 1990. He woulda been about 15 or so then, so it matches up. For now.

So where are these inconsistencies? The Corps fought Nekron in Tales of the Corps (currently available in Tales of the GLC Vol 1), Kyle fought Nekron during the Ghosts Annual. As for watching a cartoon, Hal has a younger brother, he could have watched it with him.

Rebirth wasn't just about bringing Hal Jordan. It was also about deaging him, Guy and John who are around the same age [technically should be nearly 50 but DCU crisis events have and uncanny ability to compress the timeline making the characters younger each time]

I don't see the point of picking apart a joke.

But, you know, this is a fictional Earth. They can have whatever kind of TV show they want, so it's not nessasarily Captain Planet. And, even if they're too old for them, Carol and Hal could have easily noticed a popular show just like people who have never seen it know about Twilight or Pokemon.

In reference to Hal maybe watching Captain Planet:
You are a comic book fan. If anyone should know what it is like to be an adult and read what people call kids books (comics) and have comments made about it is us. Just because he is in his 30's means he shouldn't be able to watch Captain Planet? A bit hypocritical of us
I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

I find it funny people are discussing a fictional character being a fan of another fictional character.

This is nerdism gone too far, come on guys we're nerds for reading comics, but we're not that bad.

Hey there's nothing wrong with watching a kids show. I'm 18 and I have nothing against it.

This is true. Im 17 and am criticized constantly for being too consumed with fictional characters. Haha so Hal can watch whatever tv shows he wants.

I hate to break this to you... but 18 is hardly a "Grown up".

I have to agree, I am way past 18, more than double that, and still love comics and several 'toons. I love watching some of them with my 13 year old who is now getting into some of the comics i collect. All the while getting ripped on by my wife. Oh Well!
