  • Was the Hal Jordan Flashpoint tie-in good?

Like all DC things anymore, I wait for the trade because I get bored with filler issues to make 1 issue and 2 issue stories into trades. So would someone please spoil away until I can get the trade and tell me if this thing was any good.

    Possible spoiler

    Did Hal die?

    Spoiler:

Yes. He dies when his bomb release dies and he kamikazees a nuke into Themysicra's forcefield, disabling it. Carol finds a journal declaring his love for her.

It was good I thought. Flashpoint is a cool series.

of the tie-ins to Flashpoint, this, Abin Sur and Superman are by far the best. I thought the ending to this was really sad, but cool at the same time.

Thanks. Sounds great, I just wish I didn't have to wait until march.

i agree with the abin sur. However im dissapointed the way that hal went out. Didnt see that coming, plus the green arrow shit didnt really do much for me either.

For lack of real tie-in to flashpoint the Legion of Doom had a few twists that were nice, Commander Cold kinda let me down though, a S!H!A!Z!A!M! woulda been nice though

Hal Jordan was decent, I guess. Disappointed with Abin Sur.

It was awful, and felt like very little effort was put into the whole thing. In fact, all of Flashpoint has felt like DC was just killing time on the publishing schedule until the September rlaunch.

That's exactly what it all has felt like. 3 months of filler. None of it matters. And I could live with none of it mattering if it was good.

glad i past on them then and tbh im also thinking of skipping glc 62 since people have stated it basicly is similar with the whole filler debate.

GLC was better filler than many of the other books, but still filler.

At least they had the decency to get the regular GL book off stage so that it didn't go out in a whimper like most of their other books have.

Reminds me of Flash post #226. The obvious ending point should have been #225, but it embarrassingly carried on for several more terrible fill in issues. Same with Captain Atom at #50. Sometimes it's best to leave on a highnote. If your plan is to cancel then immediately relaunch the book, don't treat the last few issues like a joke and put less effort into them than Extreme Justice. That's just insulting to your longtime customers.
