  • More Delays

Just looked at DC's solicits page. Now, Green Lantern #38 - originally the January issue - is now due for the end of February. Green Lantern #39 - originally the February issue - is now due for the end of March. Green Lantern #40 - originally the March issue - is now due for the end of April. And Green Lantern #41 - originally the April issue - has now dropped off the solicits list completely.

What does the last thing means?

Presumably it means that it has been rescheduled for May, but the May solicitations haven't been released yet.

Which, in turn, presumably means we won't get a new Green Lantern solicit with the next round of solicits next month.

My biggest fear with all these delays is that, if Blackest Night is a big company-wide crossover (which I REALLY don't want it to be, but which looks likely), then it is less likely to get pushed back by months to accomodate GL's delays, since other titles will have to tie-in, too, and that needs to be planned in advance. If GL keeps having delays, and Blackest Night doesn't get pushed back, then that will mean that the run-up to Blackest Night IN GL will get rushed to fit in before Blackest Night starts.

I REALLY don't want that to happen...

Unless Blackest Night is shifted from the GL Books to a miniseries or Action Comics

This is typical. Any sought after story is always delayed.

I have really lost any interest in GL and Blackest Night now. These delays are just assinine now.

Even then, if it isn't delayed that would still mean the delays in the GL book would eliminate whole issues of lead-in that, frankly, we need given the complexity of the situation and all the different Corps involved.

<_< Blackest Night was confirmed to take place in GL, GLC, and a Miniseries at the same time. How do people keep forgetting this?

Come listen to our cast, and have a ball while you're at it! : D

It isn't that people are "forgetting", it is just that people have a hard time trusting anything DC "confirms" that far ahead of time these days. Plans change, and the constant delays on GL seem like they would tend to NECCESITATE some kind of change. We just don't know what kind...

I guess if GL continues being off schedule (I don't really count it as a delay unless it's a situation like we had from October to January), they'll end up pushing back Blackest Night too.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see Blackest Night start until the fall...

To my mind that would be better than shortchanging the run-up in GL.

(And I would count this as a delay. I mean, the issues were delayed by an entire month, weren't they?)

Yeah, you're right. I guess I don't call it delay because we're still getting an issue every month...for now.. I too would rather they put off starting Blackest Night until all the run-up from GL and GLC were in place. Instead of trying to rush it out. I just wonder what happened to cause the push backs continuing?
