Not surprising, but it just makes it seem less and less likely that Blackest Night will come out on time. Issues of GL are just crowding the schedule in upcoming months to keep that timing, and I am mighty skeptical, what with issues STILL getting pushed back, that we are REALLY going to see three issues of GL with only two weeks between them. (#42 on 6/24, #43 on 7/8, and #44 on 7/22? That would border on miraculous. Guess this is the type of situation where a blue ring would come in handy.)

GL #41 pushed back two weeks? When did that happen?

Different artists, different timelines. Once they're printed, they can hit stores within a few days.

I tell you, I can't take this shit. The first Issue that comes out late in BN I'm gonna drop the Book Till Johns can get his shit together. This is Fucking Unacceptable! I don't give a Shit who's causing the problem, but this is the mother-fucking event book of 09' for christ sake. ACT LIKE YOU GIVE A SHIT JOHNS!
This stuff has been Delayed a little too much, and I'm tired of it. A 3 month gap, Okay I can live, but books coming out every 5 or 6 weeks is crossing the line, and then you keep pushing it back. Just get the Mother Fucking Books out already!

I'd bet it's DC seeing more interest in the book and in Blackest Night, so there's probably a lot of creative shuffling going on, especially for the second half of the event. I wouldn't doubt story tweaks and additional plot threads that will extend into additional one-shots or minis. DiDio's probably seeing gold here and wants to milk it.

This is not Geoff Johns' fault. I don't know if you've noticed(or listened to the Green Lantern Spotlight Podcast lately) but Geoff is giving Philip a lot of freedom when it comes to the design and look of this book. Tan prefers to draw big space filling pages. So those pages will of course take more time to complete. No creator wants to hear that they miss their deadline. Its not personal, and its definitely not for personal gain.
So, let's calm down. If Green Lantern #41 is really pushed back then consider the bright side. You get two more weeks to speculate. You get two more weeks to save money for Blackest Night. You get two more weeks to buy other books. Doug Mahnke will be onboard the title soon, so consider your delays numbered. Cherish the days where you got giant Larfleeze splash pages...

I just checked DC Comics site and it still says it comes out May 27'th, but if there are delays it's strictly because of Tan he said that Geoff gave him the scripts early so any pushbacks are because of him."If at first you don't succeed, try Kyle again!".

GL 43 is likely already finished, or at least a bit of work done on. Mahnke comes on with 43, 39-42 being done by Tan. So, even if 42 is really late, there's still enough time for 43 and 44 to come on time. Reis is also probably working on BN 1 now. The event sounds a bit more co-ordinated than previous ones, so we can at least hope for minimal delays.

People people please. Relax. I calmed down when I read BN #0. Johns cant be held responsible for artist delays. His story has been planned out for a long time. A story thats already done except to hit print. Now if Johns was doing ALL the work it would take even longer than this so delays arent that bad considering. Would I like to see it now ? Hell yeah. But I can accept the fact things happen (even if I dont like it). Just makes it that much sweeter when it happens.
