  • Why do the Lantern comics seem to be unaffected by new 52?

Sorry if this has been covered, but why is it that aside from Martian Manhunter's Stormwatch version showing up in Guy, and John's book are Lantern books unaffected by the relaunch? I mean Hal's wearing the "new 52" suit, but aside from that the stories seem to just have continued on from the last GL story arch.

it's been said that DC's big salers (GL and Batman) would not be touched (much) by the new 52

Really then why do John and Guy seem to be acting like they hardly know each other?

Thanks Ion Fan I just thought it was odd that with how different the rest of the DC titles (even Batman's, and Superman's family's books) had become the Lanterns both Green, and Red seem to be totally untouched.

I'm loving Kyle's rainbow corp, and the back and forth between Hal's good cop, and Thall's bad cop, Atrocitus's character expansion has helped to make him an even more interesting character, and then there's the investigation into the "protectors", and the "sins of the guardians" in Guy, and John's book. So far the new Lantern books have been great. I just hope the "third army of the Guardians" story arch produces some interesting new characters worth customizing.

Right. In the DCnU, J'onn and Guy have never met before now.

Bats isn't too affected; mostly compressed timeline, but the GL titles are definitely the least affected by the reboot.

The only problem for the Batman line now is that Batman had 5 Robins in the span of 5 years. I wonder how they'll explain that.

They won't and in a couple of years people will forget about it.

They won't, they'll simple ignore it.

Not surprising, they acted the same way after Crisis on infinite Earths. Everything seemed to continue on like usual then also.
