I have been a minor fan of the Power Ring character from the Syndicate, but never understood who Volthoom, the entity in his ring was. Now we get to explore that facet. So I'm guessing that Volthoom was captured in Power Ring's Ring and made to serve him. It fits nicely I think.

U mean "now we get to explore how NuDCU Volthoom will be fleshed out, which will likely be different from the original (who tortured PR with constant repitation of his name due to him NOT using the device for good)............"
