just wondering if you ever get creator's block? if so, what do you do to get yourself out of it? is there anyone's art in particular that inspires you? Also curious about your creative process from script to finished pgs. --any info about how you break down a scripted pg to layouts would be AWESOME!!!!!

Well damn it, Dave, did you ask Keith about the Corpse mini?

Oh YEAH I did. We actually talked for quite a while. Sad news on the Corpse front though; it's unlikely to see the light of day now. There are things he put in it that won't be in continuity by the time Blackest Night comes out. The only silver lining is that Keith was paid for it, so there's the chance that an editor will look at it and decide to do something with it to get a return on their investment. But he said it doesn't look good at the moment.

Did you design the Ion whale? Why did Ion have the same GL symbol Kyle had when he had his costume after the Power of Ion story arc in the Winnick run? Does that mean Kyle had the Ion inside him even when he wasn't Ion?

Adding to Andrew's question; is that supposed to be the host(ess?) for the Violet/Love Star Sapphire Corps entity in the bottom left corner? If so I'm guessing it's Carol Ferris. Which you probably won't answer. But I'm assuming this based off the fact that she looks like a caucasian human, with dark hair. Plus she was the first, so why not right? Makes sense to me.

Guy's, maybe I can help Ethan out a bit here. Most of the aliens flesh and hair color I made up on the fly. Unless they had been established already, like Slush or Cribb (sorry if I mis-spelled those), our main concern was getting the costume colors right. It's up to Geoff to make sense out of this mess.

I do want to point out that I asked Ethan to create the conjoined twins up behind John Stewart, as an homage to my own almost-teen twins. Always bickering & fighting, those two.
