Really you guys think so? I'm not doubting, just wondering where you get the idea. Did Ethan say he's gonna be working on Barry? Do we have confirmation that Barry will be around after Final Crisis. I hope so. Being a long time fan of DC, I've never had the chance to get to know Barry. I hope this is true. But would they really change his costume and not Wally's?

And EVS, at least with Hal, has a knack for redesigning silver age superhero costumes. I doubt we'll see any major change or anything, if it is indeed Barry that he's retooling. Probably something a little more major than just fiddling with the lightning on his belt, but still short of anything drastic.
Who knows, though. I'm not a Flash fan, so as an outsider all I can say is... Barry and Wally's costumes look ridiculously alike. I get the mantle-passing and history of the shared sort of costume... and I'm all about still doing so, but also making something their own a bit; making their own mark. I'd like to see something a little bold for a new Barry costume.

It would make more sense to redesign Wally's costume. He's been wearing it in honor of Barry all these years, and for story purposes, it makes a lot more sense if WALLY went with something new. And even THEN, I wouldn't be opposed to Barry getting a costume "tweak". I think most of the major heroes should get one every 20 years or so. Vision, Hawkeye, Red Tornado, GL, and many others have all gotten upgrades that stay true to the spirit of the design that made them iconic in the first place. As long as it resembles the original costume, like Wally's 90s version and Hal's current one, I'm cool with it.
But Wally should get something altogether new if he's going to stay around, and I have a feeling he will.

After all this time, though, hasn't Wally basically earned the right to make it his own, though? I don't know, though, not into Flash so some of you guys are probably in a better place to say who should be the one to change... but something tells me it's going to be Barry.
If not, it may be an update (again, maybe not as drastic this time) for the costume of a resurrected/revealed-as-not-dead Martian Manhunter.

Ethan, can you tell us how the glowing GL symbol is supposed to move around? I thought it was a cool invention of yours, but I just can't picture it in motion. Describe it as if you were giving direction to an animator or a CGI artist.
Also, can you say if Alan Scott plays a significant role in The Blackest Night? I know he participated in Rebirth and the Sinestro Corps War, but part of me hopes that the original Green Lantern will have a slightly meatier role in the events to come.
