Here's a question:
Will we ever see the blue and black Silver-Age inspired Sin Corps costumes again? Do you figure? Anything behind then that isn't very obvious?
Hi Ethan, thanks for continuing to drop in and answer our fanboy questions!
This may be too early for you to say, but I'm hoping it's close enough that you can give us the answer. I'm wondering about the names of the 8 lantern corps. We have the Green Lantern Corps (GLC), and the Sinestro Corps. We know two of them are called the Red Lanterns (RLC?) and the Black Lanterns (BLC?). What about the names of the other four? I'd assume the violet would be called the Star Saphire something or other. Is it going to be the Star Saphire Corps? The Violet Lantern Corps? (I hope not!). Is Agent Orange the name of just one guy, with the rest of them collectively known as the Orange Lantern Corps? Or it it one guy and not a corps of beings?
Any word on blue or indigo?
If ya can't answer, ya can't answer, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks!

Well, after issue #33 we now know that was simply Sinestro's civvies. When his ring was drained by Atrocitus, that "uniform" is what his clothes reverted to.
Ethan, you clever devil... the Red Lantern symbol in the Manhunter bodies...
Ahhhhhh...now that is clever! None of us even caught that! And it makes perfect sense in the context of the story and the Atrocitus/Red Lantern connection. Cool!

I mean development-wise. Are they to keep us guessing until the Sin Corps shows up in full? Were they an earlier version of the Sin Corps costume? Even the book of Parralax doesn't have Parralax's symbol on it until afterwards.
I mean, the idea itself is pretty obvious. The dress like old Sinestro as rookies until they earn their "badge" ... but we haven't seen those old costumes even though there's been a lot of rookie Sin Corps members.
I think that there is no more rookie uniform because the Sinestro Corps have no organization anymore with all their top dogs locked in Oa, so whoever gets a ring becomes a full corpsman
It's always more fun going back over all my Van Sciver drawn comics the second and third time and appreciating the vast amount of detail in the art as well as searching for any the infamous little visual jokes he leaves for the sharp eyed.
Mr. Van Sciver your work is a consistent delight, please never stop drawing.
P.S.
With Grant Morrison back at DC, is it possible you guys could reunite for a DC encore of the infamous "SEX" issue?
Mr. Van Sciver- You are easily my favorite comic artist, no matter what you're drawing for (I think my favorite character you've drawn was Plasticman in Supes/Bats. Just fun to look at.). I'm hoping to see you next year at heroescon down in Charlotte. I haven't been able to go for a few years now, but I've got my schedule cleared for 2009.
On Blackest Night, I think it's pretty clear that Black Hand will have an important role with his new powers over life and death, and I can see the Spectre playing a role as well, but what about Solomon Grundy? His power over death isn't one he can control, but it's an interesting one. Is there any room for him in BN?
Whoa, that's an interesting thought. I'll mention that to Geoff.
