How can you have a #600 when the title stops at #588? (well, unless it's temporarily re-titled)

Well it made sense Ben and Reed have died and since Heroic Age happened I don't think Marvel would kill a mother of two.

Not yet, anyway but if you go back to the 2099 titles (an even the bios in the Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions game) there's a lot of talk about the Marvel Universe's Earth collapsing into anarchy during the Age of Heroes / Heroic Age.
