Yes. As recently as that last JSA:C issue with the clock guy, and even in the the few panels of the Sin War itself that he appears in.

There's no A.I. or Guardians behind Alan's power governing what it isn't allowed to do. Aside from the wood weakness, but that's just symptomatic of the ring's power itself.
