Well, A Captain America is gay, anyway. Apparently this is the first of FIVE new Captain Americas they will introduce in this series.
I don't really read Marvel Comics, so my knowledge is limited, but the notion of there being six Captain Americas at once seems more strange to me than the specifics of any one of them. Captain America isn't Green Lantern. (Then again, I thought it was odd when the introduced a slew of new Batman imitators from around the world, too.)

Captain America wasnt a queer either so quit destroying established characters by using the name as a mantle.
