    Episode #283: SHAZAM!

…Where’s the ka-boom? There was supposed to be a lightning-fueled, earth-shattering ka-boom! Hang on, let me look at my papers here… Oh, wrong Captain Marvel – anyway, this is the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, and our leader- who CAN keep his notes straight- is present only in spirit, with Bry-Bry taking over hosting duties. He’s flanked by Tazer and Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon as they delve into the deep, dark unknown of space – literally unknown to Tazer, because he refuses to view the trailer for Captain Marvel. The Newsie and Jon-Jon talk about it, though, as well as the prospect of Disney’s forthcoming streaming app yielding limited series’ about some of the MCU’s less-prominent characters like Loki and the Scarlet Witch, and Bry-Bry also offers a review of the PS4-exclusive video game Spider-Man, since he’s the only member of the crew with a PS4. In reviews, Bry-Bry leads his crew from the darkness into the light with an impromptu Book of the Week review of Fantastic Four #2, with the bombastic return of the titular team! In individual reviews, Jon-Jon reviews Return of Wolverine #1, and Tazer tag-teams with Journey Into Mystery: Birth of Krakoa #1 – somewhere, Ben is silently screaming into the night. Also, Bry-Bry reviews the Looney Tunes-esque Cosmic Ghost Rider #2, featuring Cosmic Punisher, Thanos! We’ll leave you on that cliffhanger, because that’s our show for this week, folks, but be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and rate us favorably and leave us a kind word in review. Next time, Venom will have come out by the time we record – will we review it? Does anybody really care…?

Episode #282: A Very Marvelous Episode

It’s another wonderful installment of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast – and the boss is back! The Marvelous Iggy’s triumphant return is nigh, praise be! He leads us pitiful worms, newsie Bry-Bry and ol’ curmudgeon Tazer, into the promised land of the news! The Marvelous One is the wind beneath our wings as we take flight with news – the Entertaining Weekly feature on Captain Marvel – still without a trailer, but photos galore! We continue to monitor the #RehireJamesGunn situation, including Dave Bautista possibly departing the film franchise over the issue and the piece alleging that James Gunn may not have even wanted to direct a third installment of the franchise. We also pay tribute to both Gary Friedrich and Marie Severin, discuss the launch of a new SUPERIOR Spider-Man series, and also speculate as to Jeremy Renner’s upcoming role in Avengers 4. Meanwhile, in reviews, The Marvelous One gets down and dirty with those filthy mutants in X-Termination #2, and then it’s back-to-back cosmic capers as Tazer shouts-out his love for Death of the Inhumans #3, and Bry-Bry laments his own regional culture and Carol Danvers the Masshole in his review of Life of Captain Marvel #1 and #2. That’s our show for this week, folks, but be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and rate us favorably and leave us a kind word in review. Join us next time as we continue to search for a replacement of Jon-Jon – R.I.P. Ol’ Man Whirlyburger!

    Episode #281: Whoa, Bruh…

Shyeah! You’re, like, totally checkin’ in to another bro-tastic episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, brah! In this chill installment, two dudes go it solo. …Wait… can two dudes go solo…? …WHOA, man, that question is, like, way too totally complicated to get into right now, but we got temporary ring leader Bry-Bry and wingman Tazer to pull off a duel podcast-attack! In the news this week – there’s just, like, a tidal wave of it: brief update on the very decidedly un-chill James Gunn situation (#RehireJamesGunn), the situation with the totally tubular Black Panther flick and how it might get an Oscar, but not, like, a legit Oscar, y’know? Then we talk about the #Comicsgate crowd attacking Marsha Cooke – bag that. We also totally tackle announcements on new books! Marvel’s upcoming DECADES collection, a very special issue of the Champions, and new series announcements for Conan the Barbarian, a new Defenders ongoing, and Dead Man Logan – the …end?… of the Old Man Logan story – all make waves. In reviews, we paddle out and hang from our Book of the Week, Punisher #1, and then we keep on ridin’ on as Bry-Bry reviews Marvel Two-in-One #8, and Tazer reviews West Coast Avengers #1, and he ain’t feelin’ the California love this time ‘round… Whoa, it’s already over? Alright, bro, but before we zone out, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and maybe rate us well and leave us chill vibes for reviews. Until new time, bromigos – cowabunga on!

    Episode #280: Danke Schoen, Ditko!

It’s episode #280! …Or, is it? Oh, we don’t know – we’re forgetful. Anyway, this is the latest episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast! Our fearless leader, the Marvelous Iggy, is adrift this week in a cosmic sea, and so it’s up to Newsie Bry-Bry to play substitute teacher and attempt to rein-in the wily old men known as Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon and Tazer (Boy, does he fail hard.) In fact, the crew spend so much time talking about the first full Venom trailer, Sony’s other Spider-verse film projects, and the forthcoming Uncanny X-Men event, DISASSEMBLED, that they barely have time to sneak in a roundtable review before Jon-Jon gets abducted by aliens…! Or something like that, who can say? But cosmic adventure is the name of the game this week as the group finally has another Book of the Week to review, and it’s the return of Marvel’s First Family in Fantastic Four #1! Then, once Jon-Jon vanishes, Tazer tackles the tricky subject of death – that is, it’s tricky for him to not take so much glee in reviewing Death of the Inhumans #1 and #2! Then, Bry-Bry catches up with cosmic psychotic Frank Castle when he reviews Cosmic Ghost Rider #1 and #2 – it’s a double-dose of Donny Cates in individual reviews this week, and lest we forget to pay proper homage to Steve Ditko at the top of the show. Now, before you dive in to this week’s show, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Hopefully we’ll turn up with a full complement next week, but then we thought that the Fantastic Four would be fully reunited by the end of issue #1, too…

    Episode #279: …Iron Fist again, I guess?

#279, here we come you guys! Ready yourselves for…for… Eh, alright, look: a lot of stuff has happened since we last did a proper episode, so just… Hold on while we ease back into things, alright? Iggy, the Marvelous One, reunites Newsie Bry-Bry, Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon, and infant candy thief Tazer as they tackle the biggest news since… Really, the last few weeks. Explosive topical discussion abounds as the trio talk about the firing of James Gunn from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and the larger implications of this event. Join in as the Warriors discuss the pros and cons of Disney buying-out 20th Century Fox multimedia, including reclaiming the Fantastic Four and the X-Men properties. All told, the geeky side of things is a-okay, but the actual business side of things may be… Morally questionable. Ensuing round-up conversation about Dark Phoenix, New Mutants, and even Iron Fist season 2 tilt towards vaguely positive – huzzah! Spider-Man is, amazingly, back to basics and Iggy is loving it as he reviews issues #1 and #2, Jon-Jon is pleasantly surprised by Dan Slott in Tony Stark: Iron Man #2, Tazer compares thee to a summer break-up in Cloak & Dagger #1, and Bry-Bry goes OFF in his review of Old Man Hawkeye #6. Gosh, that’s a lot since last we met – but at least we’re back in full force! Until next time, dear listeners! Now, though, before you go, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Never say we didn’t give you anything!

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Special Review:

    Ant-Man & the Wasp

Step right up, folks – tall or tiny, we welcome all dear listeners to the latest episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, this time a special review of the first of 2 films set to debut between the destruction of half the universe in Avengers: Infinity War and "Avengers 4". It’s time for Ant-Man & the Wasp, the first movie with a female Marvel character sharing top billing with her male counterpart. The Marvelous One, Iggy (a.k.a. Ben) gathers ‘round Ol’ Man Whirlyburger (a.k.a. Jon-Jon) and a goliath of cynicism and fanboy rage (a.k.a. Tazer) to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly this time: what stood tall in this latest Marvel Cinematic Universe product, and what was better left to shrink away into the corner? Bry-Bry doesn’t know, lost to the quantum realm that he is, but before you give this episode a listen and find out, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Next time, perhaps they’ll rediscover Bry-Bry, or maybe he’ll be left adrift as the other three members of the team – oh, right: SPOILER ALERT.

    Episode #278: Finally Back!

Like Phoenix, we, The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast......have returned. No Bryan this week, but Iggy, Jon, and Tazer gather around the table of Odin (I’m sure Odin had a table named after him) to discuss: the cancellation of X-Men Gold & Blue; Krakoa- The Island That Walks Like A Man fighting Colonel Nick Fury, and the stupidity of Wolverine’s new powers. For individual reviews, Ben tackles the direction for T’challa with Black Panther #1 & #2, Jon dives into Weapon H #4, and Tazer asks if were ready for this with Tony Stark: Iron Man #1. Thank you for listening, remember to leave a review and subscribe to us. Also, tip your waitresses......please. We’ll see y’all in two weeks for a special review of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

    Episode #277: It’s Rainin’ Celestials!!

Hi, hi! We’re your Mighty Warriors Three, and have we got a podcast for you! You better listen – get ready, all you loyal listeners, as we delve into latest news and reviews from the past few weeks! It is a double-sized annual of an episode as we discuss the renewal (huzzah!) of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the cancellation (duh) of Inhumans; we also talk about the theft of the O.G. Iron Man suit used in the first MCU flick, and then it’s trailer talk as we discuss the latest teasers for Venom, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and season 2 of Luke Cage! Meanwhile, in reviews, the Warriors Three tackle a topic they haven’t touched in quite some time: a Book of the Week with the relaunch of Avengers #1, running parallel to the very first Avengers story that occurred 1,000,000 B.C.! Then in individual reviews, Ben visits a utopian future where girls run the world in All-New Wolverine #34, part 2 of “Old Woman Laura”. Tazer conducts his own parlour scene as he delves into the mysterious circumstances of Logan’s resurrection in Hunt for Wolverine #1, and Jon reminds Iggy that he isn’t the only one paying attention to Infinity Countdown when he reviews the third issue in the event series. Finally, Bry-Bry closes up shop by talking about all the ways that Thanos ruins lives with Thanos Annual #1! And that’s our show for this week, folks! Be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Until next time, try to remember your umbrellas before you leave the house – you never know WHAT may just fall out of the sky…
