I was wondering same thing but I wasn't sure if Guy was one of the original members of JLI, or did they pick random membersOriginally posted by W.West View PostAm I the only one who thinks its weird that the JLI get their creator back, and Guy doesn't go there but instead gets his own title?Winner of THE INFAMOUS PEOPLE DRAFT 2011

Guess this gets John more exposure.
A title starring Guy to go with one starring Hal and one for the other two for me is immense win.

I think Sayd will be charge of the Blue Lantern Corps, cause if Agent Orange is on Earth as a "New Guardian", why would he want an old one?
As for Ganthet, he may be the only Oan on Oa after BN for all we know...the others are probably going to be like "what the hell did we let happen?!?" and they won't be getting mad at Ganthet, remember it was them going "Ganthet was right and we were stupid" that made Scar make her initial move. If anything, I think it will be Ganthet, John, Kyle, and Salaak that will run the GLC.

Wow! I come home to some huge news tonight!
I really didn't expect Guy Gardner to move into his own series, but it's good news. Especially that Tomasi's going to be writing it. I REALLY like his run on GLC overall, and he very much "gets" the character.
And Tony Bedard on GL is great news too. He's a perfect choice to take over the book. And if Guy is moving out, it makes sense that John would move IN to GLC. He gets a new setting that will give him more spotlight, and Hal gets his book back once and for all.
Green Lantern Ganthet? THAT is fucking stupid. I can't root for that one. Hopefully that will last about as long as Magog in the JSA.

That's SO true. One of Kyle's crutches over the years is that the character needs to have other characters that fans like/respect validate how awesome he is. It always smacks of the writer trying too hard. Like you said, looks like it'll be John's turn now.

That is pretty weak imo, another GL book starring Guy is useless and really is a missed opportunity to get some spotlight to the other Corps members like Killowog, the Lost Lanterns or Raker. Heck they could have done a colored corps book and I would have picked it up, but this to me is a big mistake and is going to dilute the GL universe somebody fucked up over DC I can't believe they think this is going to do well."If at first you don't succeed, try Kyle again!".

GUY was with the JLI from it inception ( see the Legends mini series ).Originally posted by ns2 View PostI was wondering same thing but I wasn't sure if Guy was one of the original members of JLI, or did they pick random members
Hell he was front and centre on the cover ( see below ) and on page one deciding how he was going to run the "new" Justice League!
Attached Files:On worlds afar or scenes at home, wherever the cause should make me roam, always i vow to fight the good fight, to combat evil with all green lanterns might!:

Tomasi off GLC is some of the best news I have had all day. As for the spin off I want to support a new GL title but not if it is as lame as GLC has been for like the last year or so. DC puts me in a bad spot. If I don't buy Emerald Warriors then the think GL can't sell more then 2 on goings. However if I do buy it they get the false idea that I like Tomasi and like seeing him on GL projects. What is a Fantern to do?

Already I'm loving the new art teams!
When I was reading the BN Phantom Stranger & Atom and Hawkman I even thought to myself "I wish they'd do GL."
And now they both are!!
Now if only we could get Evan back on GL after Brightest Day, and Moose coloring as much GL as he can... that would be the day.
Reading the multiple artist thing on Brightest Day.... I´m thinking each artist will draw the adventures of one caracter in the same issue.
For example: Ivan does 6 pages Aqauman, and Patrick 6 pages Atom.

Did you REALLY expect DC to put out a GL title where a human wasn't the star or main character? That they'd follow up the success of Blackest Night by putting out a book about the adventures of Hannu, Boodika, and Tomar Tu? That'd last about as long as Darkstars did. A human has to be the focus of the book for enough fans to keep the book going.
It makes sense for a human GL (Guy, John, or Kyle) to get his own title, and change the lineup of GLC. Guy will move out of THAT book, giving John Stewart a place to actually DO something for a while. They can change it up again in a few years.

Would you rather have Guy Gardner in the Green Lantern books with his own title, or in a Giffen JLI book where he acts like a moron again? IMO, they've come too far with GUy to have him slumming in JLI books again.Originally posted by GUYCORPS View PostGUY was with the JLI from it inception ( see the Legends mini series ).

SWEET but what's the deal with GL: Emerald Warriors and why does Guy get his own title and not Kyle or JS?
