  • My (humble) opinion on the current state of GL

I was talking to Mav over Facebook and I came to a conclusion. GL has become widespread, but in that widespread it has become painfully mediocre.

What do I mean? Take for example TPB like "To be A Lantern", "Darkisde of the Green", "Sinestro Corps War" , "Rebirth"...etc.. I canīt tell how many times I read those TPB, 4,5, mabe more for each TPB. The current ones..well, I read them once and put them on the shelf. Shows how much I came to care over this.

To be honest, the only thing that keeps me interested currently is some of you guys who I made friends with and the current RPG we created, because other than that...meh.

EDIT: and well the current BN toys are cool.

Oh and that wasn't really Alan Moore on the podcast.

What? Are you certain? It has to have been him or my name isn't Robert....oh wait it isn't.

Topic though: It's been mediocre for awhile. Better than some GL runs in the past but it's slowly getting down there the more it stays in mediocrity city.

I dunno, I thought Agent Orange was quite good as well.
I think Green Lantern is a pretty cool guy, eh overcomes graet fear and doesnt afraid of Sinestro.

So was Rage Of The Red Lanterns and imo Secret Origins was probably the best story arc Geoff has done aside from Rebirth and SCW. I'll say it once i'll say it a thousand times if you're not digging GL that's fine but continuing to follow something you don't enjoy is a waste maybe you need to take a break after BN.

I hope for your sake that you enjoy following all the people who complain about Blackest Night and constantly telling them to shut up and go away.

"Secret Origins" a great arc? Not really.

Hopefully he enjoys it as much as you like yelling at all the people in the Alan Moore thread that it's not Alan Moore.
I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

Well I actually DO enjoy that. I like helping people... and anybody who thinks that really was Alan Moore needs help. Lots and lots of help.

But as for Raker, I was being sincere... I truly do hope that Raker enjoys defending every panel of every comic that Geoff Johns has anything to do with and telling all perceived detractors that if they don't pledge their fealty then they are wasting their time and ruining the experience for everyone.

You may be the only person in that thread who sees it as help.

You're so negative. Try looking at the bright side for a change.
