  • What Corps Disappoints You MOST?!? POLL!!

The title says it all. No Black or White! I'm talking about the big 7. R-O-Y-G-B-I-V style....

For me it's the Blues. I expected so much more for them [due in part to the War of Light splash showing more members in the standard Walker suit]. I figured like some of you the Blues would be what the Corps once was. No lethal force being the main thing. But a bunch of Saints?

I voted for the SS. The way they were hyped early on in Vol. 4 and GLC made me expect more from them than we have gotten.

For me it's the Indigos, followed closely by the Blues. Both are utterly useless and boring as hell. Really, how badass is "hope" and "compassion" for a powersource? What a bunch of fucking pussies.

I've come to really like the "bad" side of the GLC, which is red, orange and yellow. All three of those can stay as far as I'm concerned. But I wish the blue and Indigo would both get annihilated and be gone forever. The Star Saphires can stay around, but get rid of the rings and lanterns and go back to using their gems. And never refer to them as a "corps" again.

Reds, by far. They're nothing but generic angry monsters. Only Atrocitus has shown any depth, but that's limited, and he looks like any number of enemies in scifi first-person shooters.

Orange hands down. What started off as an interesting concept, and one of the more intriguing character intros in comics in awhile. And then gets turned into some fucktarded mess, not worth putting in any issue of any comic.

Damn you for that one Johns.

Have to go with the Indigos since they really haven't done much other than be cryptic. Now just level off the other ones about the size of the blue corps (expect Green and Orange for obvious reasons) and we would have gold.

                  Indigo.

It's not only the fact that I can't understand anything they are saying, but what gave Indigo-1 the right to transport me without warning to Korugar right in front of the goddamn Mongul?

                  Right...in front...of Mongul.

Just let that one sink in.

                    Nice poll.

I would almost vote for the Indigo Tribe because we've seen so little of them and know so little about them and, at the end of the day, they seem sort of rushed and tacked into Blackest Night (like, if there'd been more time, there would have been a proper Indigo Tribe arc akin to the Red Lantern and Orange Lantern arcs). But I do think Geoff has a pretty involved plan for them -- always has -- and it ties into even the beginnings of Abin Sur and there is a legitimate payoff coming.

I would almost vote for the Blue Lantern Corps because it just doesn't seem like there was any long-term planning on them done. They're set up as basically assistants to the Green Lantern Corps, as they can't really function without a GL nearby... and yet this hasn't really been realized yet. Even their leader, Ganthet, has abandoned his post and no one's really batted an eye at this sudden power vacuum... I just don't get any sense of direction or purpose to the Blue Lantern Corps. That said, the Blue Lantern Corps can have a function and does have potential.

No, I vote for the Red Lantern Corps. While Atrocitus may be pulling their strings and may be running on some kind of half-realized idea of vengeance on the Guardians and such, I get no sense of purpose, direction, or potential to the Corps... they're simply a pack of wolves existing to... I dunno... be angry a lot? And what would they even do without Atrocitus? I don't see any long or short term purpose or potential for them aside from needing a party to occupy the "Angry" spectrum.

The same could be said of the Sinestro Corps, really, (just a pack of wolves spreading fear around with no real coherent purpose or mission statement) but at least with them we have someone of Sinestro's caliber manipulating them to his very well thought-out ends and not just Atrocitus going, "Rahhhh! Fight!!!"

I agree, although I don't mind the angle of spirituality given the BL. But would like to have seen them be used more, in particular being paired with GL's.

I'd have to go with the blues. At least the Indigos took Black hand away.

I voted for the Reds. Becoming a thoughtless brute who is more than willing to attack anyone or anything that reminds you of what made you so angry is kinda lame. That's just because I think anger is best used if only on the one object/person or persons that made you give into it in the first place.
