Must have been a slow year.
I mean if you like it, good on you, but that was one of the biggest chores for me to read. It felt strung out and plodding. It was at times goofy (memes as currency?!) and at others felt contradictory (these people who have no emotions have a lot of desires). Just not my cup of tea.

What, "Woke, Bi-Sexual Superboy (not the Superboy you are thinking about) as Superman II While His Dad is Away" wasn't good enough for the Hugo?

We've had "A GL you've never heard about!" stories before, only this sub-par storyline was pushed hard on the audience, especially with Future State making her the "only" Green Lantern (Hal notwithstanding).

A society consisting of three alien races have coexisted in an emotionally muted state until a drug suddenly introduces powerful emotions back into the equation. Jo is sent to deal with the entire situation without the backup of the GLC, and it proves to be a test for a larger looming threat.

Of course that last part was only evident after Thorne's story.

I actually like Jo more as the post-corps organizer than I did in this series.

It was so uninteresting I really couldnt get through it. There were chunks of pages and even entire Issues I had to just skim the pages. It was 3 issues of actual story, painfully and tediously milked out to 12 issues to hit a publishing goal. The coloring was an eyesore with all the pastel and neon colors. This really could have been done as a 48 page oneshot and been readable but they blew it.

I have no idea how this turd garnered a Hugo. Oh wait, maybe I do...

I purchased it out of collector's impulse, so I have them all, but couldn't get past issue 3 due to boredom.

I'll plan to go back and read it now, I guess. Not like Hugo award or any other modern awards mean anything these days. Getting an award is probably a bad sign really, haha

If you ever decide to give it a go, the whole story is now in TPB form and all issues are on DC Infinite.
