I'd be fine with a new creative team taking over any book at this point. My only apprehension is that they would turn over the art to Dustin Nguyen. I couldn't deal with that.

IT would be if I wrote it. My stories last for four issues, and I'd use rotating pencillers on each story. Yeah, but in your own numbers, Dave, there are other similar fluctuations (e.g., a nearly 1600 book upsurge at #21). It'll be more telling if it continues upward for a while.Comment

I think those surges have got more to do with retailers taking a chance ordering, then what actually sold off the shelf. Essentially, all of these numbers reflect what stores were willing to buy, not what the customers bought from them. My local shop always has a lot of back issues they get stuck with, that they grab bag down the line.Comment

True. The number isn't totally disconnected, though. A good manager has a sense of what his or her customers want. Plus there's the pull lists/standing orders.
