Yeah, GLCQ was canned due to ET, but Mosaic, supposedly, was cancelled because it was "too wierd", despite having decent sales number. At least that was my understanding.

Guy was forced to go the Vuldarian route due to editorial mandate after ET costing him the yellow ring. I think that's when Alan became Sentinel as well, but that could have been a bit earlier, I suppose. And while Mosaic's cancellation was not due to the changes brought about by ET, it seems pretty certain that John being shunted to the Darkstars, and Mosiac being almost completely ignored (to the extent that John was nowhere to be found during ET despite being on Oa at the time with the powers of a Guardian, and they had Kyle blow up the planet, and only belatedly decided to toss in a mention about an evacuation months later).

Personally, would like to see if they'll actually let John be the star for change. I'll check out GLC next issue under the new team and if it doesn't grab me I'm done with GL.

What writer dose not rework a property. I mean if it were like that, then Green Lantern would still be the guy in the purple cape. I don't think anything is beyound repair, but me personally If it were mine to write I feel like would just write cool stand alone GL issues and let the fans draw thier own conclusions on how Green Lantern morphed to where I had it. I think at this point we just need some good GL issues that have nothing to do with an event.

I attribute Morrison's "God Seven" JLA for that. It ingratiated the Alley Rat to the rest of DC's readers and shot him up to elite status in the DCU, allowing for a number of League(r) guest-appearances and scale exploits in his one-horse GL town. Were it not for the JL revival and Jordan's FoundersCard, Vasquez probably would have floundered some more in the minors.

and dc has lost no faith in gl. that's why we got a threshold title and are getting a larfleeze title. although what any of that has to do with gl, i don't know.
This is a problem with you though, not with the Green Lantern per so.

they did, but I dont think any1 here really knows *by how much* since that info is has been hard to come by (Ive tried digging, and have a black hole for 80s & early 90s comics), and the quality of a story is purely subjective experience since while a book can sell really well.........that doesnt mean the stories would be good to *YOU* as an individual.

proof of that would be GL's sales numbers now: the book sells well currently, but I personally bailed out on it right after WotGL.

Aquaman isn't really much of a joke anymore. Not sure if you reading his book or not.

There is no such thing as a unfixable situation in the magic land of comic books.

I think GL's best days are behind it. I think DC is so dissapointed by the movie that they have lost all hope in the character. I won't be suprised to see them chose John Stewart for the movie and his powers of Diversity.

This was my thought of what DC was going to do. with the sucess of Flash Rebirth and GL rebirth I honestly thought every main Justice Leaguer was going to get that treatment and we were going to return DCU to the Icons. Obviously I was mistaken. But I sometimes I magine a world where Batman stops being a Duche and Superman becomes entertaining again, and Aquaman stops being a joke. Oh well. I am going to miss Goeff, because even with his flaws he was a champion of the Character Green Lantern wich was anice change from the past where he was treated like crap.
