If anyone needed to know something about Green Lantern, I’d reckon this would be the place to be. Someone help me out here. I’ve had this question, see, and if anyone could answer it, it’s you guys.

As far as I know, and correct me if I’m wrong, but a new Green Lantern joining the corps is issued three things. One of 3600 sectors of the universe to patrol and safeguard (typically his/her home sector), a power ring, and a personal lantern-shaped battery. My question is this: where does the battery go when not being used to recharge its owner’s ring? Does it just disappear? How is it summoned? Or must it be physically carried around/ left somewhere? Or am I missing something? If anyone could help me understand, I would greatly appreciate it.

Many if not all Green Lanterns hide their batteries in a small pocket dimension. That may or may not just be for the cartoon but I think that is where they are kept.

It was mentioned in secret origin that it can be placed in a pocket dimension,and in the past it had the ability to go invisible. hal usually leaves his in his locker at work.

Correct. Although I think the only time we've seen Batteries in the current volume is with Hal recharging, and then in the SCW when Guy, Kyle, John and Hal had Parallax put into their Batteries. Then in Secret Origins, Hal and Sinestro Recharge as well.

Very little mention has been made of these at all in the current volume, and I'm pretty sure only Hal has actually Recharged from his Battery.

In the past, a pocket dimension was used, this was mentioned in Secret Origins by Sinestro.

The thing I don't get with pocket dimensions is this. Can they be accessed from anywhere in the universe, or is it as specific as we saw in the justice league cartoons?

Im wondering if the battery in this pocket dimension follows the owner so it's always on hand when needed

I think they can just summon it wherever they are.
