Are you telling us to read it? Or just reporting that you read it? I hope the latter, as I didn't see anything in it that I would expect to garner your recommendation.
I'm just marking time waiting for this to be over now. I'd probably drop the title if I thought this was going to be the norm for the title going forward.
I enjoyed Morrison's JLA, and a couple other things he's done, but this run is just cementing in my mind the idea that, going forward, hearing Morrison is involved in something is a sign that I probably want to avoid it, not a sign that I should be excited.
Remember the 90s, when there was, like... Batman, Detective Comics, and Shadow of the Bat and that was your standard Batman line? Grant Morrison's "The Green Lantern" would work OK if it was a B-book like "Shadow of the Bat," coming out every month next to a "main" Green Lantern book with normal Green Lantern goings on. That would be tolerable.
Now, as the ONLY Green Lantern book? It's a little suffocating. I was initially OK with Morrison going weird with things... but only with the promise that eventually he'd loop back around and get to doing normal Hal Jordan things on or around Earth with a supporting cast, etc.. That never happened.
Are you telling us to read it? Or just reporting that you read it? I hope the latter, as I didn't see anything in it that I would expect to garner your recommendation. . .
That's a great example of how a post can be ambiguous. I meant to convey the idea that I did read it but have nothing to read say about it.
