Probably not. It costs 3 times as much to stay close. I'll probably do what I did last time and stay in the Hotel Circle area. From there, you can take the shuttle to the convention center.

The Hotels around the gaslamp district are still blocked, but hotels in the neighboring counties allow you too book super early. To give you an idea of how far away it is here is a map.

Yea it does. I'll be there all five days/4 nights. I'm going to end up paying what it costs to stay one night at the Hilton or the Marriott.

i just stayed in hotel circle and drove to the tram station and parked for free. drops you off right up front of the convention center

We wasted a ton of money by renting a car. We didn't use it once during the entire trip. Next time, we'll take a shuttle or taxi to the Hotel and back to the airport.
