Honestly.. it depends on the exclusives for me.. that's one of the real differences between SDCC and wondercon, as SDCC usually has all the exclusives... that and there is more programming.. a big Hollywood presence... and a shit load of free swag as a result of that larger presence.

I am curious to see if the venue in Anaheim will bring more of a "SDCC FEEL " ...

Lets all go to Disneyland and get a GLCMB splash mountain or CA Screamin pic

You would have to think that since the show is much closer to Hollywood, the movie industry would have a stronger presence.

What reeks is all the Hotels in the area are expensive because of the proximity to Disneyland. Hopefully, they'll have a special WonderCon rate like they do in San Francisco.

I'm sure the folks at WonderCon will arrange some kind of deal with several hotels in the area.

I hope this is just a one year deal. I would really hate for WonderCon not to be in San Francisco anymore.

Hi All. It's been a while. New job, new commute, new duties have kept me way too busy. Anyways, settling in so got a few moments.

I'm also very worried about WC moving permanently to So Cal/Anaheim. Let's be honest and realistic, WC will get more attendance this year being in So Cal. There are simply more folks down there and the simple novelty that it's there this year will bring in plenty. I lived down there until 2002 and often visited their iconic weekly convention Frank and Sons and it's still got a ton of folks going and that's a convention that happens EVERY week on Wednesday and Saturday so WonderCon coming down for a weekend? You better believe all the Frank & Sons' customers will go. Wizard World Anaheim goers will now go to WC. Then add the usual convention goers that would go whether it was here or there and finally add everyone else who will go because of novelty, because it's SDCC's production, etc.

I don't know if it totally sells out every day like SDCC, but I guarantee there will be more attendance than here at Moscone. So the question is, does loyalty, history and tradition of WC being a Bay Area show out weigh attendance, money, etc. I hope so because I am hoping/planning on taking the trek down to So Cal to go but I'd rather have just been able to drive 15 minutes on 101 and be there!

I'm sure more people with attend WonderCon in Anaheim than in San Francisco. However, I hope that does not matter. I mean, last year was the 25th Anniversary of WonderCon being in San Francisco. It's a tradition. It would be like moving SDCC to Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

It's November and I'm surprise that WonderCon has not opened registration yet for the event in March. I'll most likely buy tickets, but still uncertain if I'll actually attend.

Ha hah! True, but it's more of a work schedule thing. Not sure if I'll be able to get time off that weekend.

                          Ha hah ha.

What can I say, it's feast or famine when it comes to my work load. In March, I'm told there's a case that will be heading for trial and my assistance will be needed.

I heard that. Right now, it's famine over here. Either I'm struggling and putting out fires all day or sitting around doing admin. crap waiting for something to happen. I need to win the lottery.

I'm not sure yet. Right now, the ECCC is more appealing as there are more things my wife and I can do as a couple.

What I'll probably do is buy a 3-day pass just in case it sells out. If all goes well, I could take a roadie there for a couple of days and come back.
