Hey, your Chibi guy that does the GL artwork... I think that might be the same guy I bought some GL stuff from at WonderCon a few years back. Check the bottom left and right.
I have both the prints in your pictures. Are those the 3D versions? I have all his GL prints, as well as some other ones. Transformers and the like.
His name is Lord Mesa. I thought that was a board name. so after 3 years of buying from him, this year I asked "What should I call you?" He said "Lord, is fine". I told him I felt weird saying "Hi, Lord. Its me, Cory.". He told me," Well, thats what my parents named me"
Hmm, awkward.

Yeah, I was hoping to meet up, but at the Tilted Kilt Sylent told you were feeling sick and on Thursday morning I thought I'd meet up with you but I met with your uncle and he said you were in bad shape.
Yeah, let's definitely meet up at the next show.
On Thursday, I was probably out laying down in the car for a rest break or somethin'. I was poppin' Tylenol and Bayer pills all week to get through, lol.

Sorry to hear about your kidneys stones, but you're hella strong to make it three days of the con with them. My brother had stones a few years ago and he asked me to take him to the hospital after a few hours of pain from them.
Glad to hear that you were able to score all the exclusives. No doubt it takes a team effort to hunt all this stuff down. I mean, I didn't have preview night and on Thursday at 8:30am Hasbro and Graphitti Design ran out of tickets/wrist bands for the oppotunity to buy exclusives. So, I was assed out on Thursday.
Man, I totally envy you meeting the cast of The Walking Dead. Great pics! That's so awesome.

Glad it all worked out in the end, but damn! You were a mess on Friday, and had no business even being in San Diego. I'll send you that swag as soon as I can find a decent box. Next time we're in the area (probably for a Giants game) we should all have dinner on the pier again.
I'm better now so yeah, when yer in town we can go out to dinner at the pier again, no prob. Just hit me up.

Oh yeah, that's right. The ponies are in the white boxes. Yeah, I'm getting burned on those too. I bought 2 of them myself in hopes of flipping them.

I got burned on the MLP x2. Check the two plain, white boxes. Hopefully, interest is generated during Christmas time.Last edited by Sylent_Asassin; 08-12-2013, 04:49 PM.

Great pics, too! If I ever go to SDCC again, I won't spend days trying to get exclusives again. All the time wasted on incidentals and being misled is what kind of killed the show for me. It's great seeing through the eyes of others on happenings elsewhere, though.

I never posted my score from the show. Here's a collective photo I took when I unpacked everything at the Hotel.
I went crazy and had too much stuff, so a friend offered to ship it to my house in exchange for me getting him the Metroplex exclusive. I got lucky and was able to pick up a Soundwave for him as well. There was no way in hell I was paying upwards of $200 to ship all that stuff. Metroplex alone would have cost a grip!
As Jay and Cory said, it has to be a team effort, otherwise you'll be S.O.L.

Met alot of new friends. Had a good time. Including the best Garlic Fries I've ever eaten.
Went to the hotel and got ready for the first full day of SDCC.
Thursday, like Jay said, you cant work SDCC by yourself. You'll get eaten alive. Its best to work a small group. We had 3 people get in line at about 4am to wait for the doors to open at 630. Myself, I usually slept in and was the last one to join the line at about 620. From there, we split into 3 groups. One group to autograph line, one group to Hasbro line, and one group to wait in the entrance line. thursday, I ended up about 400 people back in the Hasbro line. Not too shabby. I got myself a timed ticket telling me to show up at 2pm to buy exclusices.
Friday morning was more of the same. Wake up after everyone else, get in line, wait in hasbro, get my ticket, then wait in the entrance line. This time though, I was able to smuggle Sylent and Primus into the Hasbro line. And then smuggled them into the entrance line as well. You would think people would get mad at "cuts" but people are generally laid back and just accept "cuts" because they know their friends are coming as well. Kind of a scratch my back/scratch your back thing.
Now, Exclusives and Haulage. I try to help people ever year, that cant go. Im extremely big on community and trying to build friendships. To this end, I always offer Exclusives at cost. I never mark up unless I put them on ebay. This year, I was planned. Everyone paid ahead of time, and I even had a spreadsheet
This is what $240 looks like. 2 big boxes sent home, and leftovers thrown into my luggage

And yeah, I know what it's like having to travel a mile or so to the Con. It can wear on a person.
Even though I didn't have preview night pass, I still ended waiting in a line for about two hours. The line was to pick up the exclusive ComicCon t-shirts. I thought it would be a quick process, but it wasn't. The reason being, the line we mixed with people who had pre-ordered their shirts and people that wanted to buy the exclusive shirts. Thus, the people buying the shirt on site caused the line to move terribly slow. However, someone figured out to divide the line for pick up only and on site purchasing. It only took them an hour and a half to figure that out.
Since I was assed out on Thursday on Hasbro exclusives, I just went to get some autographs in Artist Alley. I was surprised on how empty (relative term) the convention floor was on Thursday evening around 6pm. I was able to walk up to the Mattel both at 6:30pm and there was only 5 people ahead of me.
I was glad on Friday morning that CJ pulled me out of the end of the Harbro line to were he was in line, which was about 200 plus people ahead of me. I thought I was SDCC savy, but CJ put me to shame with all his strategies, guile and planning.
Hopefully, we'll be able to do this again next year.

My kidneys decided it was time to pass a stone, and i was fighting 102 / 103 fevers wed-sat. ( I ended up leaving and missing out on Saturday and Sunday cause i couldn't handle it anymore. ) Between the fever, the lack of strength to carry my shit and the shivers that plagued me over there.. i wasn't missing out on all my exclusive shit, I'm too damn stubborn to be sick. Pissing hurt like a bitch, and all i could think about was how i was gonna get into all those booths...
