I haven't seen anything about it so I thought I'd post. 3 days for $65. Some cool people are going to be there including William Shatner, Stan Lee, Norman Reedus, Bruce Campbell, Julie Benz, James Marsters, Laurie Holden, Jason David Frank and Ralph Macchio. Here's the link:

Thanks for posting. This con kept slipping my mind. I'll try to attend, especially since this will probably be a good substitute for WonderCon, and it's almost in my backyard.

$100 for Stan Lee and $200 for the package deal?! Good Lord! The older he gets, the more he charges!

Yeah the autographs are crazy! I was hoping to get Bustice's but not for $30! I think it will be a decent sub for Wondercon and its even closer for me. We're definitely going to go (unless something crazy happens).

I'm surprise that Sara Underwood can command $30 a signature. I remember she would sign for free at the G4 both.

As of right now, it doesn't appear that I'll be able to attend the event because of work schedule.

They really are milking people for autograph and photo money at this show. WWE's Shaemus is charging $40, when I got it for FREE at SDCC. Good grief!

Bruce Campbell and Stan Lee are the only photo-ops that I would be remotely interested in, and they're going for $50 and $100, respectively. For that much, I'll pass.

Cheryl Ferris wants to do the fucking VIP Norman Reedus bs. If that happens for sure no SDCC for us!

That is what I thought! Sucks about work. Any sick days?

3-day passes are sold out. Local comic shops may be selling passes.

We're trying to track down a shop that has them.

Let me know if you find one. I tried A-1 and Metropolis (the two most popular shops), but neither are selling passes, and neither knows of anyone in Sacramento that is.

Yeah I tried calling a couple others and went to World's Best Comics and Toys. Nada. Looks like we're totally out of luck. I don't think they made them available to the shops. We may just get Saturday or save it for SDCC. I'm disappointed though. Hell I might just pop into the other Sac Con the weekend before. IDK.

So did any of you guys get tixs to go? It's this weekend.

I checked out the website because there was a tiny piece of me that noted this weekend just happens to not be as busy as usual with my kid's soccer, volleyball, etc so if there was something really really cool maybe last minute I'd consider it ... a tiny maybe and had to be awesomely cool! Well it was moot because I got on the site and noticed 3 days and Saturday tixs are sold out! WOW!! I'm shocked! A Wizard World convention sold out! So I'm really hoping one of you guys go and offer back a report, because I'm really curious about it. Most of the feedback I ever got on WW was OK at best so a sell out? Maybe it got exponentially better! (Or we are talking Sac Town so maybe a bunch of bored folks with nothing else to do! Didn't the Sac Kings have a record of sell outs at Arco for a good while there? Only show in town right?)

Primus and I went to the show on Saturday. I prepared a small blog on the convention. Please see the link in my signature. Enjoy!

Awesome Sylent! Thanks for the always informative and honest assessment and take on the show.

You hear how these "Comic Cons" are just booming .... ie Salt Lake Comic Con breaking a record for most attended show for 1st year, ECCC's growth up in Seattle, NYCC eclipsing 100K, and we all know how bad it's gotten at SDCC ... so I guess I should NOT be surprised how busy this Wizard World Sacramento is.

Anyways, happy you and Primus checked it out and had a good time. Maybe next year if the weekend is not too busy and the show looks good enough I'll take that that 2 hour drive to Sac Town.
