2008 Corps Meet-up Scheduling

Ok, theres a year till Con season would anyone like either othe these ideas

Meetup at Chicago WW as it is in the middle of the Country

or

West Coast meetup at SDCC

East Coast meetup at Pilly WW

Mid-country meetup at Chicago

I know we are still pretty new but if we start organizing early perhaps we can start a great thing here

Just some thoughts post yours

I think setting up all three would be cool. I was planning on going to the SDCC next year anyway, I wouldn't mind heading to Chicago as well. It would jsut be an extra month's pay, lol.

There is also the New York comic con. Which is usually the only one I go to now-a-days.

We could also make T-Shirts to advertise the site... all customized with our screen name on the front and a site logo along with the URL on the back. That would also help with us recognizing each other at the cons. LOL

That site's cool (but kinda pricey while cheap). We could probably make them ourselves with Iron ons and save a butt load of money. But getting them from that site would definately look better (and obviously more professional).

Oh, well then thats pretty good. Can we get each one its own custom front, in bulk though? We couldn't customize with the screen names, then... but that would still be a good way to go. A uniformed T-Shirt is cool, if you would want your screen name on it then put it on yourself, or something. Yeah, anyway! Thats a good ide and a great place to get the T-Shirts... now we just need to figure out the actual schedule and everything and then get everyone their shirts. But we have almost a year to take care of all those details.

That would be cool! I was at Comic Con this year and I would have been cool if I meet others there too. I'll post my pics later. There is EBACC in Philly next year and the New York con at the Javitis. I'm down for a meetup if I not busy with work.

My 2 cents...

I have 2 thoughts on this idea:

1. Since I live in the Mid-Atlantic region, I'm voting for an East Coast shindig, preferably Wizard World Philly, Baltimore Comic Con, or Dragon*Con.
2. I'll go IF our lovely female members from the UK and Canada will be there!

I'm DEFINITELY going to SDCC next year, should be fantastic with all the comic movies slated for 2008 and 2009.

I'm with you! I'll be able to do the NYC Con at the Javtis in April. It's from April 18-20.http://www.nycomiccon.com/App/homepa...appname=100453 then there is the one in Philly, ECBACC, http://ecbacc.com/ I'm going to attend.

I was at the SDCC this year so in 2009 I'm going back!
